I booked our August reservation, well in advance, in April after emailing the park asking which sites were more shaded as we had 2 young children with us. I received a prompt emailed response advising that sites 1-3 were great and 9-15 were also nice. The website doesn't offer any sort of map or pictures of each RV spot hence my email inquiring. I subsequently booked site 3. Before our arrival day, i emailed the park asking what time check in was, as this was also not noted anywhere on their website. I received a response stating our site was unoccupied and that we could arrivr at any time. On the day of our reservation/arrival, we arrived and much to our surprise someone was in our reserved spot. The gentlemen stated he had booked that spot and due to power issues, the owners were called - the guest stated the owners were down at the lake getting their boat loaded and would be back in 30 minutes. Why the owners of the park would be on the lake when people are checking into the park was frustrating in itself. Mind you, It was 100 degrees and we were traveling with a 2 month and 4 year old girls and our dog, all anxious after a 4 hour drive. In the meantime, we sat in our vehicle in the "parking lot" aka the RV lot as I called the owner and awaited a phone call back. The owner, Jill, called me back and stated she had texted me that she changed our reservation to a different spot, spot 16 - I never received this text and don't understand why she wouldn't call to ensure receipt of this last-minute change. This spot was backed up to a hill at the end of the lot, with zero shade. This reservation was changed, unbeknownst to me, the day of our arrival. We unloaded at the new spot and during that time, Jill arrived and said their software had been double booking spots. I told her I had emailed about wanting a shady spot back in April and her response was "Well, there's not much shade anyway". She didn't offer a discount or any refund for our stay (which was booked for 3 nights at $80/night). Needless to say, I would not have booked the reservation if I had known our spot would have been changed. I think the property is very pretty but this situation was poorly handled and very costly on my part for a site I didn't book. Also, the produce in season that they offer is haphazardly displayed out near the road - the corn was thrown about the table and looked half eaten and the other veggies listed were not there. For such a small booth, i think it could very easily be maintained if there was any staffing at the park. I think there's potential for this RV park but it is certainly over priced and the customer service is...

Hopefully this family succeeds in their venture to develop an RV park. I'm frugal so the moderate price for a full hook-up RV site was attractive; everything at the site was new and worked great.

Similar to another reviewer, I was disappointed to discover upon my arrival that the husband apparently allowed another customer to occupy my reserved site. When I arrived another RV was backing into my site; the husband told me I would be in a different site. Although I reserved a specific site and received a confirmation text from the wife the day of our scheduled arrival, instead of receiving the site on the end of the row I had reserved we were placed between two other sites. Judging by other reviewer's testimony I'm glad I didn't attempt to insist that they honor my reservation. As this was my vacation, I didn't want to start it with a confrontation; it seemed counterproductive to my goal of finding relaxation and avoiding stress. So I guess disappointed is the first word I'd use to describe my experience.

As a working farm, equipment was active in the adjacent orchard before sunrise. Surrounding the home there are large grassy areas and trees with lots of room for people to pitch tents. Most of the RV sites are devoid of trees; the gravel sites are comfortably sized; with trailers in the adjacent sites we did get some early morning and early evening shade from neighboring trailers.

The trailer of toilets and showers were new; by Monday morning I noticed they were due for some cleaning which happened soon enough.

I'll also mention the condition of the public roads from Chelan to the RV park caused me to wonder if I was lost; they are steep, curvy, narrow, and could use some new pavement, but we took it slow and had no problem maneuvering a 35' fifth...

Worst camping experience I have so far. We reserved the camping for group of 4 families: We are put in the orchards area where there is little shade - the camp site is totally unusable during 90F daytime. We get out before 10AM and often come back to the site around 5-7PM to avoid the heat. Since we have a group of 4 families, they decided put our groups into space between orchards rows. When being confronted why the space is not as described in the website and we still pay for the full prize ($75), they reason that we rent for the space to put the tent so they could just put us anywhere they feel it 'should' work. We felt scammed since it's not communicated upfront and totally different from what we reserve on the website. If we know before spending 3 hours driving there, we will avoid this one immediately. Their communications from hosts are conflicting and not consistent either. First, they told us all 6 rows are for two camping groups. Later, they blocked one row for another group coming in. Second, they said the main, shady area is not for tents anymore when we ask to camp in that area instead. However, later on there are at least 2-4 tents from other groups being put up there. There is no guidelines/posts on how and when to check-in and check-out, quiet time info and available amenities online and offline either. It would be nice to have that available before you reserve. They have free ice cream which is nice - but double check since it runs out quickly and only from Monday-Friday if not mistaken. The only shared 2 showers + restrooms for all camp sites + RVs are well maintained.

Since this is RV park only, it might not be the best place for camping tents. Please double check with the hosts upfront...

Summerhill Farm will now be our families’ go to camping spot in Chelan! The whole family including kiddos, were so friendly and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, Kene got us checked in with our spot immediately as he was out and about the property, very present and ready to help. Later during our stay he even offered us a tour of the entire property when he had some free time, and it was SO cool! We were amazed to learn they grow so many fruits, vegetables, and flowers, and got to see their cows, horses and goat! The soft serve ice cream was incredible after a hot day, and fresh fruit samples from their morning pick, was a wonderful way to wake up. We bought watermelon, cantelope and corn! Clean showers and bathrooms, well landscaped property and camping areas, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but a short drive down the hill to join that fun too. Such a fun, unique experience, especially memorable as it was our babies first camping trip! And the Christensen’s sure made it special. We will be back for sure! Highly recommend.
