TLDR; New management are working to fix things. I'd wait until things improve to stay here. The whole "trying to build a plane while flying it" metaphor.

Updated review- Management reached out about the issues we experienced and said they are well aware and working on it. The previous management team were not interested in providing the best stay possible and let things go downhill. You can see this reflected in the reviews that say the pool wasn't open over memorial day and their stay was less than stellar (such as mine).

I can appreciate it will take time for positive change to happen. In my mind there are two avenues they need to address: Sites/grounds and activities/equipment. Activities/equipment can be addressed more easily, so I'll tackle those first.

Activities/equipment

Things were obviously allowed to slip. In the schedule display outside the activity center they had information from early May. It was late June when we stayed.

Opening and closing things at consistent times would be better for all. There were a lot of disappointed kids waiting around for the red playground to open. Every 5 or 10 minutes there would be 1 or 2 running around it trying to figure out how to get in. So close, yet so far. The human foosball area can never really be closed. One night there was a group of kids playing tag in the dark. A younger kid, I'd guess around 8, ran into the foosball area and smacked his head against one of the metal bars (darkness + metal bars=bad news). Luckily it wasn't bad enough to require a hospital visit, but it easily could have. I only saw 1 group using the foosball area over the 3 days we stayed, so they might consider getting rid of it altogether tbh.

More free activities- it seemed like almost everything offered had a cost associated with it. I found this particularly annoying after being charged the "activity fee" which almost doubled the price of our stay (none of the other jellystones have such a fee, I think they roll it into the price of their stay). Random idea, maybe have a ticket system where each guest gets one free activity of their choice, be it t shirt tie dye, laser tag, etc. Include it in the check in packet and they can be redeemed at the activity center. With some coordination it could work and guests feel like your activity fee goes to something tangible.

Sites/grounds

These issues will be more difficult to address as they are built into the campgrounds. First, MOVE THE TENT SITES for sooooo many reasons. Lack of parking, people walking through all times of day, sewage smell, noises from frog ponds and movies, lack of shade (nearby trees were sadly cut down), and a slope that makes it difficult to set up a tent. The tent sites seemed like they were an after thought. My recommendation, open more tent sites near the pool. That would alleviate most if not all of these issues. Maybe take away RV spots 120-123 and convert them into tent sites if that area is grass or can be changed to grass. That is assuming they actually want tent campers.

Tackle the ecoli issue. Installing another water filter and dish washing/drinking water station would be a great first step. A longer term plan is needed.

I do want to point out that one of the staff worked extremely hard. We crossed paths several times Saturday at the activity center (she ran most activities that day), the grassy field, and again on the "hey" rides. After a very long day I'm sure she was exhausted. She deserves a...

We have been camping for years and this was our first trip to Jellystone. We were so looking forward to this weekend but, unfortunately, it was not as big of a hype as it was made out to be. Although they have lots of play areas for kids and continuous activities, it is expensive and unclean. Most of the activities involve opening up our wallets to dish out more money to do something. The playgrounds had trash all over, including eaten chicken bones laying by the slide since we arrived on Thursday. The trash cans were not emptied either and were over flowing. The bathrooms were gross at 8:00 in the morning with no TP in most stalls and paper towels were not in the dispenser but all over the floor and, again, an over flowing trash can. The gingerbread play house they have at one of the playgrounds is on an angle and the wooden doors slam close, causing boo boos. Doors really should be removed at a playground, in my opinion. The splash pad is fun but really meant for older kids. The geyser at the foot of the main stairs, is scary for little kids and really was bad placement. Also, there are no lifeguards on duty. But with three different slides going and a free-for-all with kids just taking off, for safety purposes, it would be nice to have someone to let people know when to go and when to wait so the people trying to get out doesn't get hit with a new slider. Another let down was the lack of respect for one another's campsite. It is an unwritten rule not to walk (or drive golf carts) through someone's site. Both happened at our campsite and fellow campers across the street. Quite annoying. Another is at 10:00 a make shift parade came through and blasting their horns for almost the entire hour. It is a family campground and quiet time does start at 11:00, but it's a family campground with little people who do go to bed way before 11:00. 🤷🏻‍♀️ inconsiderate in my opinion. Activities for cookie making was kind of gross. Bought cookies for $2 and then had to share the icing with strangers. I saw kids licking fingers and then going back to icing, mouths over icing tips, etc. Could've been done a little different in my opinion where each child gets a little cup with icing and a paint brush to "paint" the cookies. We did ask to have our own icing, and we did receive fresh tubes. Lastly, as seasoned campers, we have an insured electric golf cart we take to all the campgrounds we visit. Not one time, we were ever told we couldn't use our golf cart but could only rent the resort's golf carts for $75/day. Again, annoying that it is an insured vehicle and only reasoning is to make money. It was a nice weekend and still had fun but overall, would...

Our first time at a Jellystone park. It’s overrated . Our whole experience has been terrible . It started when we got to the campground to check in . The person in the office showed us how to get to our site . We had to go all around the campground then back into our site . We chose a “super site” when we made the reservation. They put us directly behind the splash pad . We have a truck with a 8 foot bed and a 30 foot fifth wheel. We was stuck in almost an impossible situation trying to get the camper backed into our site . We was going over the the bank that is at the splash pad trying to get it backed in. Everyone was looking at us struggling to back it in . My anxiety was through the roof . An employee comes along and almost ran over my 8 year old daughter and then moves a bike out of the way and was gone. Another employee comes along to help (eventually) after a long time trying , we got the camper backed into the site . Come to find out there was a road that goes around from the office and pulls through the site . We had a pull through and it didn’t show it on the map and the office and grounds people didn’t know this either . Things could have been so much simpler then it taking us 30 minutes to get into the site !! Do they not know the park that they run? Then we get our power plugged in and minutes afterwards we lost power . It was some campers on our row . It took a bit then they figured out the issue and resolved it . The camper next to us had water gushing out of the holding tank . Our site was flooded . It wouldn’t have bothered me but it became muddy in front of the door. After all that the heavens opened up and we had some major rain, thunder and lightning. People down by the river had to evacuate because of the potential of flooding . The power went out in the campground last night because of the storms . My site is nothing but mud and our shoes get stuck in it when we walk because it’s so thick . Anyways we have been all night no power . I had such a hard time getting to sleep because it was sooo hot . I was finally sleeping good then at 6:05 am I got woken up by the staff. They had vehicles parked on the back side of the office which is right behind my camper . They stared talking extremely loud and woke me up . I couldn’t believe it . No respect for campers . I then tried going back to sleep then the Honda side by side started up and they drove around on that. So far this campground has been a nightmare . Hopefully the power comes back on today . We have a couple more days here . Pool is small , shallow and overcrowded and so was the splash pad . We...

Editing my review based on feedback from my family, which overall really enjoyed the stay. The water park was a big hit, as were the daily activities and general enthusiasm of the staff. We are planning on coming back again, and maybe either trying a different cabin type (like the covered wagons) or just pitching a tent. Maintenance eventually came out and fixed the hot water issues noted below, but only after an entire day was gone. The broken entry blind was fixed on our last night there. Everything else was left broken. Original review below from our time in one of the cabins: Our cabin is in need of major repairs, not getting basic maintenance before the season started. Most notably, there is no hot water, a major selling point of paying a premium for a cabin. I could have gotten a cabin without a shower, and just used the convenience hut and saved a lot of money. We will be using the convenience hut showers anyways it looks like. The blinds over the front door window have been torn to shreds by a dog at some point and we had to cover it by a towel last night for privacy. Multiple light bulbs are burned out or missing. There are gouges in the pocket doors where someone clearly drove a screw or a nail through it and then forced the door shut. The supposedly screened-in porch is totally busted with the screen on the door barely hanging on. There are multiple wasps in nests underneath the railing that are flying in through the ripped door and the other baseball sized holes. I just noticed that the oven door does not actually shut. It is partially bent and the door doesn't close all the way. I had a recipe that involved boiling potatoes that I planned just because we were in this cabin that I can't do. I was told that maintenance can't come into the cabin unless someone is present. So I've been waiting in this cabin for the last 5 hours, calling multiple times, and no one's come by. I've lost half a day here and counting just waiting for repairs that should have been done before we showed up. I've been told that the site is booked and we can't change spots, let alone cabins. One of the ways I was able to convince my family to come 'camping' is by booking this expensive cabin versus a standard campsite. Hopefully they'll be distracted by the activities and not be too put off by how beat up the cabin is, the wasps and the lack of screens, and the lack of hot water.

This campground is nothing short of amazing! The cleanliness of the facilities is pristine. The campground employees, like Rangers Kevin, Sandy, Georgia, and Stacy exude warmth, fun, friendliness, and so much more. The campground manager Tabitha sets the bar very high; her standards ensure this campground provides the very best experience for everyone! The characters at the campground employees were such a highlight to our experience. Although there were no Yogi sightings on this last trip, we were fortunate to interact with Boo Boo and Cindy Bear, both of whom made our 3-year old’s experience unforgettable. Both bears danced endlessly with Nevaeh and wooed over her with attention. This all made the trip so special. Aside from the pool, splash pad and playground areas there were a bounty of scheduled daily activities for all ages. We are still kind of new to the RV life and we had an issue figuring out how to hook up our water properly. It was evening when we arrived and within 5 minutes of asking one of the Rangers for assistance, Tabitha showed up to help us. The previous time we had visited, Tabitha was also available to help us with another issue we were experiencing with the RV. We are looking forward to our return trip in a couple weeks. We actually added an additional night on our next stay because we were so impressed with this campground provides. Whether you are a family, a couple, or a solo traveler, this campground has everything for everyone. Thank you to all the employees who helped us create special memories and making our time unforgettable.
