We stayed at Lake Five for 5 nights in the middle of July 2021. The lake is gorgeous and we enjoyed hanging out there in the evenings watching the sunset. The campground is conveniently located minutes away from the West Gate into GNP. This is a more rustic campground which we were expecting. The downsides are that the sites are EXTREMELY small for RV camping. We have a 27' TT (33' from bumper to hitch) and I double checked with the owner to make sure it would fit. It fit....barely. With almost no room on the site for the tow vehicle. We had to cram the truck in next to the TT and still didn't fit completely in the site. We had Electricity and Water and planned to utilize the Honey Truck for scheduled dumping so some of us needed to use the shower facility instead of our shower. The showers were Pay Showers which was really disappointing. My boys ended up turning it into a contest to see who could shower for the least amount of quarters so that was entertaining. We were pretty bummed to find out that the laundry was unavailable since we had been planning to wash our clothes there (halfway through a 12 day trip - we needed to wash some things). Depending on your needs, this might be the place for you. It really is beautiful but we probably will choose to stay somewhere else on our next trip to Glacier based on our...
Read moreMy husband and I recently stayed 10 nights at Lake Five Resort for our five-year wedding anniversary/first honeymoon. We stayed in cabin 7, it was perfect for 2 people. The cabin is a rustic/antique feel, we loved that. There is no kitchen in this cabin, but we were able to bring a grill and an extra table, it worked out fine for meal prep. Bed was comfortable. The cabin was clean. The site was spacious with a firepit and picnic table. It is in close proximity to the bathhouse, laundry, main office, and beach. The owners were very nice and helpful. Pricing was very reasonable for the area and time of year. WiFi was not the focus of our trip, but we were able to get WiFi regularly sitting outside our cabin, was less reliable inside. But it is there and available. Cell service was touch and go, the servers were overloaded in the area due to how many people were attempting to use the networks. ||||As far as the area goes, this resort is in a perfect location. You are within 5 minutes of the West Glacier park entrance, 30 minutes of the North Fork Road, 1hr 45mins of Saint Mary's entrance, and about 2.5 hours from the Many Glacier entrance. Columbia Falls is a short distance away for grocery shopping and those sorts of things. ||||We definitely plan to stay here again and would highly recommend...
Read moreI cannot speak highly enough of the kindness, courtesy, and thoughtful consideration that I found with Lindsey and Dan (and their kids!) at Lake Five Resort. I had an unexpected change to my reservation, but they so kindly and patiently worked though the situation with me. The resort itself is a great 'destination,' and when I was there it was filled with families, children, beauty & joy. I do not post photos including people as I do not have permission, but the location is lovely, and I loved sitting at the lake in the evenings just looking at the beautiful cloud and mountain colors! I loved that the families had children having fun with family. Dan, Lindsey and their family work constantly, but at each step of the way, they took extra time to make certain that I had or found things I needed but had forgotten to bring! I understand they even play music for guests on the Belton Stage. Hopefully I'll have a chance to return & see/hear them. I was reminded of my childhood - my parents and siblings... the beauty of nature & families doing things together. Yes, they have a full slate of things that you can do right there (boats, lake, canoes or kayaks can't remember which.) Great way to enjoy God's...
