We arrived to see about 15 cars parked in/on our site. We had nowhere to park and couldn't access our site. Check in is at 2 and we arrived at 2:30. I contacted the person who runs the campground and he responded very quickly (and kindly) to say that there was an event going on and should be over by 3. We were never told about any event taking place, had we known, we could have arranged our travel plans differently so we weren't starving and wasting our time waiting around for people to remove their cars from our site. It was about 8pm when the last of the cars were finally moved out/off of our site. The minute those cars were gone, the people at site 2 parked their cars there, a few feet from our site. Up until about 2am the people at site 2 were screaming to each other from across the lake, playing music so loud that we couldn't even think, honking car horns and turning on their headlights that were pointed directly into our tent every 5 minutes (not even moving the cars, just honking and headlights on), walking around shining flashlights at our tent and driving directly through our site. All until 2am, it didn't stop until 2am and they began again with the screaming at 6am. There was also broken glass and a lot of trash left all over our site. There needs to be some kind of security implemented for obnoxious people like this, at least have someone take a ride through once in a while to make sure people are following the rules. We were not allowed to even think about sleeping until 2am because of these people. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong since the...

Absolutely love this place. I came a few weekends ago and love it so we decided to do a family weekend this weekend and we had a blast. For the most part it’s quiet there’s some that do like to be loud but they respond and handle the situation professionally. I will definitely be coming back every weekend we get the chance. Everything was well maintained except 1 lean to at map #6 which was used as everyone’s bathroom assuming because it smelled bad and a really strong smell of urine. Those minor things mean nothing when you see how gorgeous it is. The hiking trails are easy scenic trails that you must hike if you come stay. Mike has been amazing and very helpful along with fast when it comes to pleasing the campers, making sure everyone is respected and making sure we’re all happy while we stay. They also sell bundles of wood and I will not buy from anyone else. I bought 5 bundles and it lasted from Friday to Sunday morning. You can’t beat it between hiking, fishing and just relaxing enjoying the amazing land and sounds this camp has it all in one place. Thank you so much for having us we’ve had a blast and look forward to coming back as much as we...

Camp wyanokie was a great camp site!! We camped in #9 “northeast” site and it was spacious with just enough sunlight and just enough shade. I’d rate it perfect except for the MAJOR glass issue. There were large and tiny size pieces of glass EVERY WHERE! It didn’t look like just one or two bottles were broken accidentally, which would have made it easier to just pick up and forget about it, but it looked like people prior to us actually made a point to smash every bottle they had to smirthereens. We had 2 children AND 3 dogs. We tried our best to take time out of our day to pick up as much as we could throughout our weekend but despite our efforts they all got cut up. It’s an unspoken rule to leave nature like you were never there, or better than you found it so we were all very disappointed in that aspect. We all agreed we’d go back but if there’s glass the next time we’d never camp again unfortunately.

10/6/20 just saw the response from the camp about my review and just wanted to say thank you so much!!!! Appreciate the action taken to clean up any glass! We truly will be back to camp :)...

The location itself is lovely, but unfortunately the sites require a lot of cleanup to be usable. When we arrived to set up camp, we noticed the ground was covered in shattered glass. The glass carpeted the site itself, and the surrounding area, going right down to the trail. We checked a couple of other available sites and saw more shattered glass covering the ground, discarded opened tin cans and other garbage. One even had a toxic, half burned railroad tie. As we were unable to stay due to safety concerns, I reached out to the site contact to advise accordingly. Once the camp contact was made aware of the situation, they were quick to process a refund and confirmed they will be visiting to clean up the site.

Spent a lovely autumn night at the Southwest Campsite! It was clean and well-maintained. The site provided an ash can and shovel for the fire ring. We did see a black bear poking around a nearby campsite briefly after we arrived so be aware that they are in the area and pack out all trash and food when not in use. The website said that the sites were all booked for the weekend but we were alone in the area for the night apart from a group of folks by the lakeside - guessing some damp weather and drizzles scared a lot of people off. It’s a beautiful and quiet area with easy access to parking.
