This is a wonderful place to visit. It is located in a quiet mountainous region of Pennsylvania. First, the view from the front of the main building is lovely and the atmosphere is very peaceful. Secondly, the lodging facilities are awesome and comfortable. Staying in one of the dorms is like staying in a hotel room. A dorm can accommodate up to four people. In addition to beds and a bathroom, they are equipped with a mini kitchen with a stove and dishes as well as a small dining table that can accommodate the occupants. This allows for you to cook your own food.
Next, they serve a wide variety of food which is very delicious. I enjoyed it. I also like the times they set for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It helps us to plan our days well without worrying about the time that food is served. The staff is professional and very friendly.
Next, as it is a Christian retreat center, it is well equipped with designated places of worship including a sanctuary in the main building as well as a prayer chapel at a higher elevation near one of the trails. In addition, there are other meeting rooms that can be used as places of worship. Thus, a group can easily hold Bible study sessions, prayer meetings, church services, and possibly, crusades and concerts. Prayer rooms are also present if you want some quiet time with Jesus or to prepare notes for your sermon. Because the atmosphere is awesome and peaceful, you can really experience the presence of God. My experience was wonderful. I feel like I have a better idea of what the Lord wants me to do.
Other facilities present at the center include a swimming pool, game room, gyms and basketball courts. So you can have a fun and relaxing time with each other with a few games and competitions after spending time with the Lord.
To conclude, the Blue Mountain Christian Retreat and Conference Center is a wonderful place to visit. It has the facilities to help you settle in, a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy, and friendly staff to offer assistance. This place is a great one where you can experience an awesome time with the Lord and be...
Read moreHello and Good Afternoon Google Family. I needed some time away from the gun violence and gun shootings in Philly. This was the place to go!! No one out here shooting and causing problems and grief. Blue Mountain is super relaxing and peaceful and serene. I could certainly get used to coming and living here. The next time we go, we will stay overnight. I truly enjoyed the fellowship. Pastor Steve invited us all to go with them. Pastor Steve has his own church, Faith Love Outreach Church, and it is clean and neat. The church is located in Germantown. Pastor Steve rented a van to take us, about twelve of us, to Blue Mountain. WE all had lunch and dinner there. We left Philadelphia, at Germantown Avenue, about 8:30 AM and we arrived after picking up another individual, about 11:00 AM. There was time to commune with nature and talk with God. They had a Prayer Chapel where you could spend time alone, just you and Father God. There were park benches on the grounds, where you could spend quality time with Father God alone or with others. There was an itinerary where you could partake of anything on the grounds. There were Arts and Crafts, an exercise class with me, Basketball with Minister Charlotte. There were plenty of items to purchase there. People had crocheted items, food items, sneakers, sweet smelling items like perfume and homemade cards to choose from, plus more. I was excited that they had charging outlets in the van and also I could charge my phone at the chapel or at the fair. The Blue Mountain Worship Service was so interactive and entertaining. A lady invited us to swing batons and flags that she supplied us with. Everyone was so nice, it was so heart warming. I was home around 12:30 am that Saturday night. I am looking forward to returning to Blue Mountain Christian Retreat and...
Read moreI didn't just vist here to eat, but I traveled with group that included a dinner ticket for 5 days. One star is really to much credit for this place. The food they served each nite got worse and worse. One night one of the young workers poured out some brown gravey with chunks in it that looked like alpo. I asked her what kind of meat it was and she with a small attitude said " Oh it's beef" I thought to myself really and moved on. The next day a fellow traveller with me spotted another young worker wipeing off the food counter with a dirty dish cloth where she scopped up pieces of dropped spegetti and whatever else was on the counter.Instead of throwing it away, she decided to turn the rag over and put the spegetti back in the dish. That's when my companion asked her why she did such a disgusting thing. Bosses were called in and all she got was reprimanded. She should have gotten fired!! Others complained of having diarrhea to.This place needs to shut down. This retreat has been open too many years to have service like this. If this is how "christians" treat other christians I rather eat...
