Horn Rapids Campground — Hotel in West Richland

Closed because this was the only camp ground within miles of Richland and Richland is to stuck-up to provide any kind of areas for the homeless to sleep. So now they made it so only large groups PAYING BIG MONEY CAN get use of the camp ground. Even though these camp grounds are a ways out of town and the up-itty snub nosed rich elites of "RICH-LAND" For the most part would never have to see them. Then there is the fact the grounds are in a desert with many bugs to include tics and large swarms of blood sucking mosquitos. The only well to do-s that ever go and camp there is an equestrian group that has one OK group ride a year. Just makes me sick how the people incharge of the town i have spent most of my life living in. Do what ever they can to keep the lower class...

I usually don't give such low ratings as here, but they really earned it. The place for itself would be nice, but the bath house is so run down it is disgusting. And somewhat plain dangerous as there are open wires from the dismantled token showers sticking uninsulated out of the wall. Shower heads are gone, dirt everywhere, just 20% of the stalls are even open to use them. The information board says that the premises are cleaned once day, this for sure did not happen for this day I was there. It looked like someone made his dishes in the shower or had a party there. Food leftovers in it, some plastic cutlery, paper plates on the floor. Disgusting. To ask 35$ for this mess is a...

Bad place to camp. Several of the electrical pedestals don't work. Ants will crawl into your RV. Absolutely no Verizon 4G signal here. The campground looks more like a golf course or city park. The drive way through this campground is narrow and makes it difficult to back in your trailer. The water sprinklers come on each night and sprays your camp. Lots of gnats here. There is an RV dump station on site ($10.00), and that's probably the only thing this campground is good for. And even at that, you can still dump and refill for free at the Vernita...
