If youâre looking for Dispersed Camping, Beaver Creek Road is what you want to put in your GPS. Itâs not that far from the Campground on the main highway. The road is on top of a slight hill so you might miss it, if youâre coming from West Yellowstone, itâs a right hand turn, it is approximately 5 miles of road before it loops around. Some camp sites are easy to see, but there are a couple more at the mile 4 marker that are more secluded from the road itself. In mid summer when the days were hot, this place is very cool in temp during the days and nights. The road is rough not rutted, very narrow in spots. Just take your time and itâs a climb thatâs worth it. Plenty of hiking trails, also horse trails (watch for poo). This dispersed campground runs right along with Beaver Creek and itâs beautiful. No running water, NO trash, bring it in you pack it out. One pit toilet up by where they park the horse trailers.

Our site (C22) was surprisingly quiet and secluded despite being in the middle of the loop. While we didnât have our own bear locker, there was one nearby which appeared to be communal. Our site was large, with lots of options for tent placement, and a nice picnic table. Donât forget to pack...
Read moreNice quiet campground located above Earthquake Lake. The A and C loop have path to lake with some steep parts. B loop is higher up and has more Sun/less shade. Some sites can be hard to get you 26' trailer in. Other sites better suited to tents or short trailer. Refer to the recreation.gov site for site details and availability. There are bear proof containers near some sites for storage of some items. 2 different Camp hosts who are informative and courteous. Pit toliets and garbage done daily. Signs are posted for when there is bear activity in the area. Did see Fox run through next campsite, had 3 point mule eating grass outside RV trailer. 20 miles southeast to West Yellowstone. 22 or so miles to island park. Did get late evening showers several times, since our stay was late July. Look forward to...
