My husband and I have stayed at the new Riverfront Retreat 4 times in the last two years – during the months of August, February, September and December. Each visit left lasting memories of the quiet and peaceful setting next to the Buffalo River. We spent time relaxing in the secluded and beautiful large cabin that is decorated in an amazing and very tasteful rustic western theme. Every room is full of unique pieces that spur your imagination and thoughts of life in the early West and Island Park in particular. Watching the mist rise from the Buffalo River during the early morning sunrise and seeing the old train trestle bridge at sunset from the dock – just steps from the large deck facing the river – is one of my fondest memories. Every season of the year is a new experience! If you are planning a trip to Yellowstone National Park, the Riverfront Retreat is a short 30 miles from the entrance at West Yellowstone. After a busy day of sightseeing and navigating lots of traffic, it is wonderful to “retreat” back to Island Park for peace, quiet and solitude…..and an opportunity to see some of the local wildlife and enjoy the large hot tub, firepit, and kayaks. Don’t hesitate to book rooms at the Riverfront Retreat! If you happen to be a photographer you will not be...

We had the most fun at this cabin (pretty much a cabin-mansion) with a group of 10 diverse professional young adults (friends). We stayed there for 3 days and the whole time we had so many things to do: spikeball, river chilling, hot tub, etc. The cabin is so spacious we were able to do everything and anything the state of Idaho permits. Also the hot tub fit the 10 of us, so that was a plus.

Caryn and Keith are the nicest hosts I’ve ever had in my life (Keith also speaks fluent Spanish so that’s a plus). They are there when you need them, and will give you space when you don’t (kinda like Batman).

In all seriousness if y’all religious, I felt God in this cabin. If y’all not religious, the serenity of the buffalo river will align your chakras, and remind you of the importance of nature in your life. 5/5 will recommend and...

Cannot give this property a high enough review. This is a brand new home located on the gorgeous Buffalo River in Island Park. The setting is breathtaking and can be enjoyed from every part of the property. The home is so well designed and every detail has been carefully anticipated and arranged for by the owners for the utmost comfort and convenience. The decor creates the perfect ambiance for your stay. Best of all, the owners are delightful, perfect hosts and masters of hospitality with a thorough knowledge of the area. I can’t recommend this highly enough!! ...

Can’t imagine a place more perfect than this! The location is breathtaking, and very private. The cabin is new, gorgeous, clean, and inviting. Everything has been thought of to make the stay welcoming and relaxing. Caryn and Keith are amazing hosts and can give you great recommendations in the area, including must-sees at Yellowstone. This location is the perfect escape any time of year, with plenty of natural beauty and activities for each season. The Riverfront Retreat is a slice of heaven that I will always keep coming back to!

I have stayed at The Riverfront Retreat multiple times with each experience better than the last. They are so great there and willing to help out with anything you need! It is also a really fun spot for photography being right on the river as well as being close to so many beautiful views in the Island Park area and also Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. Bringing my family here later this year! Highly recommend!
