Family members and I booked 3 RV spots over the past weekend. Though I have been to Yellowstone Holiday many times to use the boat launch and beach facilities, I had never walked over to the RV section. I was ver pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The spaces were well spaced apart from the neighbors and there were bushes/tress planted strategically to offer more privacy. I had the space in the furthest back corner from the lake and still had an amazing view of the lake and mountains beyond. The campground area was so well-kept and clean, each space also featured a nice lawn area and a picnic table with a concrete pad underneath. That was a very nice surprise. In addition, each space has water, power and sewer hookups. Having never stayed anywhere with these accommodations I think I am now spoiled and would like to have these everywhere I stay! The convenience store and the amentites that go along with it are also very nice, the beach area was perfect and all of the campground staff was very nice. In fact, I called a few days before our reservations to see if we could swap a couple spaces for a couple others that had opened up so all of the family could be in adjoining spaces. They were more than happy to accommodate this for us. I would definitely stay here again and...
Read moreI'd rather keep others from staying here, because it's a gem! The Bear Essentials cabin was way more posh and clean than I expected. I was prepared for drafty windows, spider webs in corners, dusty floors, worn matresses, you know, something rustic, like church camp cabins. Very clean, comfortable and warm. I chose not to use the heater even in the chilly nights cuz my sleeping bag and wool blanket were enough. Bathrooms were very clean, well maintained, and showers like you are in someone's house. Location, location, location. You wake up to the lake, maybe the playful otter by the boat dock, and make your breakfast on the picnic table. They've got fire pits, grate grills, a nicely stocked camp store, I think there was a sand volleyball court. I highly recommend the horseback ride and cowboy cookout (get the steak!) at Parade Rest Guest Ranch 5 miles east. Best meal of my time in Yellowstone, way better than the pricey "stew meat" buffet dinner the Old Faithful Inn bills as "prime rib." Do visit the Earthquake Lake visitor center even if closed. Trail exhibits tell the story. Want something more comfortable than a tent and don't mind walking to the restrooms? This is a great value...
Read moreThe coziest cabin experience ever with gorgeous views of the lake. We stayed here in September while visiting and vacationing in Yellowstone National Park’s and I can’t say enough about this wonderful place. The staff were so friendly and the property was beautiful. Our cabin was so clean and cozy. There was a full size bed with two bunks, a small heater, large full length mirror, electricity for charging all our gear and most of all it’s a very safe place. The showers and restrooms were just a hope skip and a jump away and they were so clean and warm. There was a nice laundry facility and a small general store. We had a beautiful fox come to our cabin door and he was so friendly. There were people fishing the lake, there was a picnic table and a fire pit outside each cabin and you can purchase wood for $10 a bundle if needed. We had our own propane fire pit. You can sit by the fire and enjoy the wildlife and lake views. And watch the sun set right in front of you. It was fabulous and we can’t wait to come back and stay. It was about 15 min away to the Yellowstone gate, so it’s perfect for staying away from all the hustle of town. 10/10...
