We came up for a concert at Jay Peak and tent camped for two nights by the beautiful bubbling Taft brook that runs through Barrewood campground. The owner, Mark, holds gold panning demonstrations in the brook, and there is a beautiful series of waterfalls and a deep swimming hole further upstream. Mark went out of his way several times over the weekend to ensure we had an enjoyable time- not only did he insist we sleep in the pavilion when the forecast called for rain, but he came to pick us up from the concert in the middle of the night when our ride fell through. I would definitely recommend Barrewood to anyone and am looking forward to...

I was allowed to stay for free and have some firewood for free. It was very generous. I would absolutely recommend this campground to anyone looking for a nice...
