My husband and I stayed in the bunkhouse. This space is not what you may typically think of when thinking B@B. It is a single room, with a full sized mattress on the bottom of a bunk bed at the back and a twin size on the top. Both had sheets and there were more, fleece blankets in the closet. A basket with towels, hand towels and wash cloths rolled up sits for you to take to the shower stall in the far barn.

You have two choices for your bathroom activities. There is a porta- potty next to the bunkhouse entry steps. It is serviced regularly so there was no funk. If you want showering, you walk the length of a horse pen and down to the barn bathroom, with shower stall and sink. They sanitize the space every day but it is worn and aged, as it's used on a working farm.

If you have stayed in yurts or similar on federal campgrounds, think along those lines. The floor is uneven in the bunkhouse as well as the ground where the honey bucket resides, but it's doable if you are able-bodied.

In addition to the insects and wildlife you will see more stars than you likely have in years. There are multiple, beautiful and unique sites to see within an hour drive of this cozy spot.

You have full access to the warm, cozy sitting area before a huge, fireplace in the main house, as well as a connected deck facing the front grounds of the property. There is also excellent wifi in this sitting area and you have access to a Keurig. I goofed on trying to use it the first time. The host was very patient with me. We used it the first night we arrived to have hot chocolate. They also have loose leaf teas in ceramic, square containers at the coffee bar. Multiple coffee options were available as well here. Andes mints are in a bowl at the entrance....and they are gluten free! Small water bottles are also sometimes stocked in the mini fridge below the coffee bar.

If you want all this, but not the semi-outdoor experience and full privacy of the bunkhouse, you can stay in the main house for more. Whether you stay there or here, you are blessed by a full, thought out breakfast by the greatest, most friendly B@B host you could hope for. We have to be gluten free due to allergies and I have to be egg free. I reserved the two nights in early Augusts He provided some gluten free muffins, with butter pats akin at the start, as well as fresh brewed coffee. He is very good about staying on top of your coffee needs. We both asked for water as well as we are trying to drink the recommended daily gallon.

I was very happy to see a bowl of mixed fruit (strawberries, bananas, grapes and blueberries) with a touch of whipped cream come out shortly. I was surprised when another plate arrived with almond crusted, french toast: egg free for my allergies and with egg for my husband. Both were gluten free. There was a sausage patty and seasoned home fries (diced potatoes with skin) on the side. I have never had such an excellent breakfast at any other stay I've been at. For the breakfast alone, this place gets five stars. The friendly company and breakfast conversation with the host was an unexpected blessing.

The second morning we each had pancakes, an acai bowl to share, and more home fries with fresh coffee, as well as his great company. Tip: if limited on schedule, get bkfst time reserved early as they go in order of who talks to the host first and is by schedule as he is custom creating your breakfast.

I enjoyed a horse ride on the grounds. It was informative and beautiful and the leader stopped to use my camera to take a few photos at one point.

I highly recommend staying here. They have plans to develop more of the buildings and even host weddings in the future and I wish them much, deserved success going forward.

Tip: Don't use a third party booking site: lie about availability. The hosts do have discounts if you stay a week or more. They are very popular for good reason. Book...

I really don't know where to begin! So much great things to say about our experience! My family of 3 which includes myself, my husband and 7 year old Son checked into the Gallant Suite which was furnished with a Queen bed and a comfortable couch/futon that converts into a bed. There was a chair that also can be made into a small bed for a child as well. There was a TV to enjoy dvds they provide on property and a coffee table to play some board games which they also have available! The restroom was spacious and the shower was very roomy. In this suite you have a nice size porch with a hot tub and some patio furniture to enjoy! The hot tub was great to enjoy after a busy day exploring the property and the area! The farm is huge and has so many horses, a couple goats and a sweet Cat that will follow you around so be careful not to let her go into the house with you! The owners Gregg and Heather are very hospitable and provided us with information that was helpful to plan our days in the area. The breakfast Gregg makes is wonderful and not your typical B&B food. It's a hearty farm breakfast. One morning he had pumpkin bread which was delicious and to my surprise my 7 year old loved! My Son does not eat pumpkin anything and he devoured 2 pieces! The French Toast was our favorite for sure and I liked how he tried to schedule breakfast at convenient time. Our first evening he set out cookies for us after we came back from visiting Oak Harbor which my son was excited about not to mention that he had hot chocolate available to be made in the Keurig! Our second night we had added the Smore package to our stay so at 8 pm (that's the time we agreed on to do it) Gregg set us up a campfire with stuff to make smores then let us hang out and enjoy the fire. We made Smores then walked around the property while the sunset. Another experience we added to our stay was the Pony ride for our Son. It was 30 minutes with Amanda who was absolutely great! She introduced us to Dartaian who goes by "Dart" and was the horse that my son rode. He was a very sweet horse. Also on the farm they have a barn that was converted into an antique shop full of horse themed collectibles and other antiques as well. If you are looking for a nice relaxing getaway with various activities to do this is a wonderful place to go! We are already planning our next stay within the next...

AMAZING EXPERIENCE from start to finish. The grounds were so beautiful and the house itself was pretty retro-70s chic, with tasteful world-travel art. We stayed in the double bed suite as I was traveling with my 5-year-old niece, mom and sister-in-law. The room was very nice, decorated well and according to the house's time-period, but most important, it was very clean and the beds were super comfortable and plush. The best part of staying inside the home was probably the breakfast and meeting Greg, the homeowner. He was friendly, helpful, hospitable and a wonderful cook. Absolutely fantastic breakfast. I regrettably only booked one night, which they made an exception for me because it was after summertime (usually a 2-night minimum), but how I wish I would have stayed at least 2 nights. Since my niece is very passionate about horses, we booked a 90-minute First-time Horse Experience for her (as well as a one-hour trail ride for all of us), which was awesome for a novice or someone who is interested in horses, but has no real prior experience. Included was a lesson on horses, care of horses, grooming the horse and a 30 minute horse ride in the arena with the trainer. In the beginning, my niece was petrified of riding a "big horse," but after the "First Time Horse Experience," she was like a little pro, and she had no reservations of getting on the horse and going on the forested trail with the adults, especially since the horse she rode was the same horse she worked with on the 90-minute session and by the end of that session, she was very comfortable. Being with the horses and visiting with the boarded horses was a truly magical experience that it brought tears to my eyes at one point. I'm so happy I found this place and I plan to frequent this B&B / horse farm as much as I can, especially since I live about 3 hours away. Thank you so much Greg for such an amazing experience and for the bag of apples you gave us, which BTW are some of the best apples I've ever had. Now I know why the horses are so...

This is a BEAUTIFUL, peaceful property, comfortable, clean & spacious room (Gallant Best) with a comfortable bed (nice bedding) and af full & Delicious breakfast each day (2 courses including cinnamon swirl french toast, a scramble, or pancakes plus meat and potatoes), not too far from town. This room has a hottub right out on the porch and views of the property through the two sliding glass doors. Gregg did an amazing job of accomodating my husbands dietary restrictions for breakfast and a treat in the evening. He also made helpful restaurant suggestions for our other meals and fun things to do near by. In the dining room there is a small fridge and microwave available for restaurant leftovers. Coffee and tea are always avilalbe there too. It was fun to walk around the property and visit the horses. I booked a trail ride and it was so worth it. I hadn't been on a horse in 12yrs so I was nervous but Nola picked the perfect horse for me and gave me the needed re-training in the ring before we went out on the trail.
