The campground itself is nice enough but the staff left a lot to be desired. Have traveled all over the states to KOA’s and have never been treated like this place. We had 2 sites for family. Website and person speaking to at reservation said golf carts allowed. We brought no cars but 2 golf carts for the class A large site and other site rented a golf cart. 2 cars are allowed on each site. Check in was smooth with all documents for golf carts provided and we were given 2 golf cart ID stickers. A few hours later we were chased down when on one of the golf carts and told we were only allowed to have one golf cart per site even though we were checked in with 2. We were told we had to keep one of them parked on our site?? They even drove by our site which was out of the main campground and checked to see if we were using the golf cart. We asked about returning the rented golf cart since there was a waiting list but could not get a refund.

As stated we were out of the main campground and near the bottom of the apple and pumpkin cannon targets. A young employee stood in front of our end site which was a camper with pop out canvas beds. He was being “rained” on at times as well as our cars with apple debris and especially the pumpkin when shot. We moved our vehicles as large chunks of pumpkin were flying at them. At one point about a third of a pumpkin launched at the camper and actually embedded in the corner of the canvas side. When employees were ask who is responsible for damage to the camper if it happens the camper owner was just met with a snippy remark of “this set up has been here all month”. Although the employee saw what was happening. An older employee then came down and just snipped when walking by “we’ve been doing this for 3 weeks”. A simple apology would have gone a long way!

Cashier in the store was very short with customers and rude. Totally embarrassed a lady in front of us for asking a question. I understand being busy but be kind and people won’t mind waiting a little longer.

These employees really need to learn how to speak to people!!

Our visit was concluded with a trip to the bathhouse and on the way out a camper had stopped in the “out” lane to go into the haunted house. Being behind them in the rented golf cart our family went through the store parking lot to get around the stopped camper. It was very early and NO ONE around except an employee (same gentleman from day before) coming to the store who proceeded to yell at the 2 women and 2 children “don’t you see the arrows you're going the wrong way”. When apologizing and trying to explain they were blocked by the camper he just continued that they were going the wrong way.

This could be a great place if staff would be more people oriented which is needed if running a campground and dealing with the customers...

It is with a sad heart that after 12 fun years we will never go back here again. My mom whonis elderly went amount here with us for the 1st time never wants to camp again she cried and is still upset. It was dark and after 8pm last night Saturday October 19th when my husband and brother in law were with my mom sitting by the fire while I was in line with the kids to go on the hatred, the owner who came into our site and never identified himself approached abruptly and yelled whose car and where is the registration. We paid for our 2nd car and forgot to post the tag. He kept yelling and then my husband and brother in law yelled back not knowing who it was and who this person was yelling and aaking for the registration. My husband has a hear condition which was then agitated because of this stress my poor mom was scared and upset because she didn't know who and what was going on. The man scolded my husband and said w should know better and had it posted. Yes we should but agai. We are human and make mistakes. Had you approached and introduced yourself and said who you are and asked if we had. Tag things would have been great but unfortunately you didn't. I went to the office not knowing the owner was the rude person who attached my family. He came into he store with an attitude towards me and well unfortunately he had no remorse and didn't care that he ruined our fun, upset me husband's heart condition and really upset my poor mom who has the early onset of dimensia who now never wants to camp again because she is so scared and nervous. My girls were heartbroken because we had so many beautiful memories there but will never go back again. It so sad how he had no remorse and didn't think he was wrong. So disrespectful. Shame on him. Always left good reviews but deleted them now because he does not deserve my positive happy memories. ...

We stayed the weekend of 7/23/2021.||||The drive to the campground was easy, and easy to follow directions. Our first time at this place offered a lot of activities. Bingo, dance party, fishing and a really big outdoor playground for kids of all ages.||||The weekend we stayed was a sawmill festival, mainly for smaller kids and it appeared to be some sort of competition of events for the day.||||The campground has baby goats to pet and feed, a few chickens as well. The camp store was amazing and had everything you needed to work on your RV if you needed to. Probably the best store I've seen. The store also offers pizza and hoagie specials for dinner if you didn't want to cook.||||Our site was 53 and it wasn't the best as compared to other sites in the campground. There seemed to be some sort of leftover water drainage, with no way for the water to move. A swampy smell, almost like a sewer smell wafted the air occasionally. We are reminded we are camping and these things are part of the deal. The site was not level and the space where you normally put your table and chairs under your canopy didn't offer a lot of room, and was rutted by drainage.||||The bathrooms aren't plentiful, for the size of the campground. And inside the bathroom near the playground was only three shower stalls, two toilets, two standups. And the floor either flooded when someone took a shower or something overflowed. ||||The campground had a lot of people and was very busy. This is not a place you go to for quiet and relaxation if that is for you. A lot of open alcohol drinking on the grounds not just on the campsites. ||||Hard to say we would come back, there are other campgrounds more to our suiting, but need to say this was...

Positive: Sites, Pool, Playground, Pond, kids activities (foam party, dance party, etc). Negative: Paying for the Bounce Pillow! Really!? Lastly, My mother and sister bought a pass to come visit us Thursday-Saturday. My mother, who is wheelchair confined was not able to access the bathhouse to use the bathroom. We were on site V9 which is at the front of the campground next to the office. The bathhouse had no ramp of any sort and the bathroom stalls were average size at best. During a "fire truck" ride that the campground offered, I did notice a bathhouse to the back of the campground that appeared to have a cement ramp. I do not know if the bathroom stalls were any bigger, even so the hike to this bathroom would have been time consuming pushing someone in a wheelchair or to load them in a vehicle to drive to it. While doing laundry, a woman with a broken leg was being pushed passed the laundry room. As I exited, I heard her say, "Well this isn't handicap accessible." She then referenced the office telling her to go around the building to get access to the recreation hall where she wanted to watch her kids do the Ty-dye event. There was no ramp for her to get off the patio. It was obvious she was not able to get into the store which also had an entrance to the recreation hall.

This is by far one of the best KOA locations we've ever visited. The campground itself is in an easy-to-access location, which is amazing for hauling a camper. The sites are spacious, you don't feel like you're sitting in your neighbor's lap and have plenty of space to spread out, have a fire, set up the grill, and park comfortably. The playground is a DREAM! It is HUGE, with so much equipment, let alone all of the other amenities-- pool, petting zoo, jump balloon pad, catch & release fishing...you won't be bored here. Let's talk about the "general store". In our experience, at a general store you can usually pick up a sticker for your collection, restock your ice, grab some firewood and maybe a packaged snack or two. This store was unreal-- full-service ice cream bar with dozens of flavors and options, PIZZA made to order, in peak season they have a "snack bar" with wings and other options, MTO breakfast sandwiches in the mornings AND lots of snacks, candy, drinks, supplies, etc...it is amazing!! We absolutely love it here, not much in the surrounding area to interest us, but for a pretty local weekend trip this was amazing. We will be back to visit during peak season to enjoy the pool and wings! 😉

1)A. Camp site had litter, trash, and discarded half gallon water bottle left in plain site. B.I made a specific trip to the office to point out this issue and was told it would be taken care of - it never was, the garbage was still there when I left. 2.Bathrooms were full of litter on the floors, toilets and shower stalls were a mess & grimy. 3.Laundry room dryers lint traps were jammed packed, litter on floors.4. WiFi seldom worked.5.Camp store prices were crazy overpriced, i.e. a 6 lb. of charcoal was $12. w/$2 in taxes - Walmart (just down the road) sells the same brand at $4.88 for a 8 lb. bag.6. Counter women (with a name tag saying 'owner' had no greeting, no smile, nothing to say except 'That's $14.00' - The whole place was a big disappointment, a waste of money and time.
