We were invited by friends to view the property and we went through their referral program and were supposed to get a $500 Amazon card and some Apple Airpods if we listened to their presentation and took a tour of the property. We were legitimately interested as the area is close to where our son lives and offers the country lifestyle that we are looking for as well. They offered us a deal which of course was only good for that day. I am not the kind of person who is comfortable with anything that I have to make a decision on in a single day especially a property investment. It felt very used-car sales like and sleazy. We were told that our gifts would be mailed to us and then we were told to sign the acknowledgement that we had "received the gifts". When I said that i was not comfortable signing that I had received soemthing that I had in fact not received, they assured me the gifts would be mailed. The next day or the day after, the sent an e-mail saying that they were denying our gifts based on the fact that "all decision makers were not present as required". This was a complete lie. Their financing was at over 6 percent and I knew my credit score should qualify me for under 3 percent so I asked if we would be able to finance through another lender rather than Double Diamond. I told them that my son was in the mortgage lending business and that I would most likely get him or one of his team mates to do our loan. That DOES NOT mean that one of the purchasing decision makers was not there. My husband and I were both present as required. These people are as dishonest as the day is long. They would not even return phone calls to discuss the matter as they are not only dishonest, the leadership is weak and cowardly. I would never invest in a property that has to pressure people into purchasing with 8-12 hours. There is definitely something wrong if they don't want you to have time to really think about your investment. RUN away from this...
Read moreIf I could leave a negative star I would. The restaurant in the club house leaves a lot to be desired. Run it’s a scam!!! The service was so bad. We had to ask for everything and then wait five min or more to get that item. Syrup for our pancakes, ketchup for our burgers, a spoon for our soup. You get the idea, we had to ask for items that should just come w the order. The food wasn’t bad but it certainly wasn’t good. We toured the place and felt it was just not worth the investment. The spa isnt really a spa. It’s a room that you can schedule to have a massage but their isn’t someone on location so schedule in advance. The state of the art fitness center is no better than your local hotels basic equipment. And the pool is pretty but doesn’t include a kiddy pool or a hot tub so not really a resort style pool. It is out in the middle of no where so don’t forget anything and bring lots of books because their isn’t a single thing to do. And then the best part after our tour they declined the gift package to us and to our friends who own a lot there because we mislead them and wouldn’t buy. They ran a credit check before we came to verify we qualified to purchase which we did but sent us away. And they were so rude calling us liars. Our friend called management and ended up hanging up on them as they were so rude. Don’t promise a gift for a tour because what they meant was a gift if you purchase a lot. Very dishonest and rude. Wouldn’t buy from them if we loved it. They will tout a rewards program to the owners but yet the owners we went w weren’t rewarded. Run...
Read moreDO NOT BUY unless you plan to have it for life or willing to take a significant loss. When you try to sell your lot they do not allow to you to put a sign out. Check zillow and you'll see people have them listed for pennies on the dollar and still unable to sell. I contacted them when i wanted to sell and all they were ZERO help. I actually had one buyer but they had to check in to go see the property and a sales person incented them to buy from them offering free nights stay and other things i could not offer. Not only will they not help you sell, they will work against you. I bought my lot for 30,900 and sold it for 12,000 after lowering it 500 per quarter for years while on the market. Also, look closely at HOA and golf dues which will equate to $195 per month minimally. Wasn't going to post a review but today after selling 18 months ago they debited my account in...
