Silver Birch Resort — Hotel in Whitewater Township

It is increasingly difficult to find a peaceful, luxurious place to get away from it all within thirty minutes of Traverse City. However this relative newcomer to the area is a true hidden gem. Every view is thoughtfully curated to make you feel as if you're the only one in the world, and the dome structures are beautiful inside and out, with designer grade wooden furniture made by the resort owner. The outdoor private bathtub is a particular delight.

Fully equipped kitchen, strong WiFi, excellent water pressure and both air conditioning and heating. We tested both, as it got down into the 50s at night and the high 70s when we stayed (Mid August '25).

This place won't stay...

I couldn't write a more positive review. I stayed here (Dome 8) alone for the weekend. Ventured to Traverse City for a bit on Saturday and went to the casino later in the night which was just like a mile away (Turtle Creek). What a comfy, cozy, BEAUTIFUL place to stay.... and take a bath! LOL. Huge plus was that the water pressure was GREAT and it heated up very quickly.

AN OASIS OF SERENITY

We have stayed here twice! We love it so much. It’s clean and plenty of hot water. There is wood for a fire and little welcome amenities like wine and s’mores. It’s close to wineries, hiking, turtle casino and downtown traverse city. Scott is so friendly and nice and replied to anything we needed ASAP. Can’t recommend staying here enough!
