We camp regularly throughout the summer and are always on the lookout for a new spot. We were excited when we found Arrowhead. We made reservations through the phone with the female owner explaining that we had 2 campers & 2 tents. She was friendly & told us that the campsites were too small for tents & we would need to get an adjacent primitive site, which we did (even though we've NEVER had to do that at ANY other campground.) So we were already paying more than we've ever had to. We arrived and the staff were friendly. They took us to our spots which were the smallest sites we've ever had. Literally on top of one another. The primitive site was extremely small so we decided to put one tent on one camper's site because it's a tiny 1 person tent and there was room. The female owner showed up after we had things set up & told us we had to move the tent because they only allowed one camper or tent per site. When I explained what she had said on the phone, she accused me of lying and that I had told her we only had 1 tent. She said all their printed material & website says one camper or tent per site. We have yet to see that. Definitely not anything on their printed handout. How a person can go from friendly to downright rude and billigerant completely baffles me. We had to purchase another primitive site for a tiny tent. We decided to shake it off & enjoy our weekend. BUT the seasonal campers next to us decided to get drunk & use profane language until 1:30 am. Another seasonal site played their music well past midnight. Their rules clearly state that intoxication or profanity will not be tolerated and that quiet time starts at 11 pm. It's obvious that the owners have never taken the "customer is always right 101" class. We've never been treated so poorly at a campground. It was very clear that they highly value their seasonal campers, which are 95% of the campground, but the temporary are treated like a real bother. It was not at all conducive to family camping fun. When we checked out, my husband tried sharing some of his concerns, but she stood there with a sneering smile and did not care or want to hear. We will never go back to this campground. Thankfully Natural Springs Resort is right up the road & have always been super accommodating and highly value making family memories. Edit - There's more... The woman called my husband the next day and continued arguing with him that she was right & all of us were wrong. I can't make this stuff up. Unbelievable! Edit # 2 - still more... We received a paper in the mail from this alpha-female owner of Arrowhead that was a copy of Natural Springs Resort rates. She was hoping to prove how right she is. What she seems to not get is that we don't have to rent a site at Natural Springs for every puny tent. THAT'S why it's cheaper. And we never have more than 6 people per site. Doesn't it make you wonder why she's...

Read moreNice place but the sites are too small, lots of seasonal campers that all seem to know each other, and not a lot to do there, except fish. The game room was closed for a party and there are no real hiking trails. We also found out they no longer have a pool table. The camp store is tiny. There is no WiFi or cable. There was a portable campfire pit on our site. It was windy so with the fire sitting up, our wood went fast and ashes were blown all over the place. We didn't have room to set up an outdoor game. Out site did have a concrete patio, which was nice. We didn't have to use a rug. The bathrooms are super clean and nice. They smelled good when I walked in to look. The owners were very friendly and direct you to your site. It is a pretty place with the 2 fishing ponds and coy pond where you can feed the fish for a quarter. It's just not really the place for us. We would prefer more space and hiking...
