Beautiful campground with a lot of amenities. There is a walking/biking trail to the visitor center and marina, camper services building with showers, water spickets near campsites, electric hookups at most sites(excluding tent only sites). Since Jackson Lake State Park is an international dark sky park the stars were amazing especially early in the morning like 3am. There were stairs to the water but the banks are very rocky aside from the stairs. The water felt very good in the heat. It was cool but not too cold. The water was pretty green probably from algae. Read moreHow can you call this a dark sky park when there are buildings in the immediate vicinity with giant flood lights that are left on all night?! My lakeside view was ruined by all the dang light shining from the other side.
Also the beach is extremely small. The photos make it seem much larger but what you're seeing is the entirety of what can be actually called a beach.

Read moreCamped here while coming back home from Denver. We got a tent walk-in spot but there is a place to park super close so you barely have to walk. The tent spots are very nice, each have a fireplace and table. They are also right next to the lake so it feels like you’re camping at the beach. The restrooms are mostly clean, rly nice compared to most. Some people were lighting fireworks at night but other than that we had a great time. 10/10 would...
