Let me give a current review, as most are 8 years and older. I am sure they were pretty cute back in the day. We had a family gathering this August 2025 and rented 5 cabins as the reviews looked good to one of the family members who booked it. When we arrived, it was very cute on the outside with a great patio area to hang out on. A completely different review on the inside. We walked into the sweltering room, with hot air blowing around the room. There was a small AC tower in our room, blowing heat out of the window that had large gaps. We had to use towels to fill in the open areas to help keep what little air we had. We Velcroed a towel to the window to stop the light from coming in and help keep the heat out. There is NO central air, just small wall-mounted AC or a tower like we had in 2 of the rooms, not cabins. We did ask the owner if he had an extra fan, so we got a box fan. We also bought an extra one, so we slept in a wind tunnel It was hot and miserable. The kitchen had a hot plate that we did not use and a small fridge. The furniture was very old. The bathroom, the shower fits a size 6 comfortably, if you are any larger, good luck, it was so dirty and smelled of mildew or mold (there is water damage). Not well-taken care of cabins. The owner argued with one of the guests over the power going out, and he blamed the hair dryer. I will let her leave her own review. It says free wifi, but we had none. The last straw for my husband and me would have to be the leeches that showed up in the shower drain overnight. We left the next morning as soon as we could. Usually, I am one to give good reviews even when it's not so great, and we go to Williams Bay every year and always find great places to stay, but this was probably the worst place I have ever been, and 9 of us will never be back. Just wanted to make an honest review. Will...
Read moreThis place has so much potential: the cabins are charming from the outside, the property has lots of community space, the location is within easy walking distance of the beach and the town of Williams Bay (although not, by any stretch of the imagination, in view of the harbor), and the owner seems nice. BUT (and this is a big but) the interiors of the cabins are furnished poorly, and the service is half-hearted. ||||For example, our "kitchenette" was stocked with pretty much nothing--a random assortment of just a few dishes (the two glasses provided were a plastic mug and a glass goblet!) and no coffee maker. Luckily, we were not planning to use it, because if we had been, I'm not sure what we would have done. There were no bathroom rugs or extra blankets, and the window air conditioning units didn't seem to work that well. There were three beds, but no reading lamps or clocks. My sister-in-law said the owner needs to do an Ikea run :) ||||We stayed four nights and there was no cleaning service. We had to track down the owner to ask for clean towels. And everything, from the window blinds to the soap to the sheets to the towels, seemed the cheapest quality possible. The screens had holes, the window air conditioners were noisy and didn't work all that well--stuff like that. The internet worked sometimes, but not always.||||We paid $200 a night for our place, and honestly, had I paid half that, I probably would have been satisfied. The (apparently historic) sign out front reads "Harbor View Motel," and everything about the inside of the cabins feels very motel-like (not much like an "inn"). In a way, I felt we got the worst of both worlds, with the self-cleaning and self-sufficiency of an air B&B and the quality of a motel--for the price of a...
Read moreLocation was ideal. Just a walk away from the beach. Plenty of restaurants and great golf courses nearby.
However, the room was definitely NOT ideal. The couch had stains on it, dirty floors, a broken screen door that wouldn’t shut all the way.
In addition, my family and I were not pleased with the way we were welcomed to their property. James very briefly introduced us to the our room and then left to cater to another guest who checked in after us. He was with them for a while and never came back.
I was personally offended and honestly wanted to book somewhere else(even after we paid). I had to go into the office to get the wifi password and also requested another blanket, which took him ~45-60 minutes to do so...
He also didn’t seem very pleased when we introduced our dog.... (the website does say “PET FRIENDLY “). And asked if our pup sheds...?! Every dog sheds!
Overall, ideal location but definitely overpriced for the rooms. There are PLENTY of better/cleaner...
