Disappointed, had hopes up this would be a wonderful place but ends up being the opposite and just a rest stop at best before Grand Canyon goers. As a new local I don’t think Ill be coming here either much. The positive: there are signs directing you everywhere and all is clean from camp sites to restrooms and paths and there are enough double slot camp sites for those with long trailers or RV’s with cars being hauled. The host are great and friendly and would give them a 5 star just for them, but my rating is for the lake campground itself. The negative: half of the lake campground sites were closed off. Only A & B sites were open with about 10 sites each. C to F were closed off and look to have better spots. The camp sites are not spaced far enough with only 20 feet at best and not enough trees for any kind of privacy. Its all well to open even with tress that are there. I have friendly dogs and didn’t want to be so close to anyone who may have allergies or be afraid of dogs so it would if been a challenge. There were some nice bbq and bench areas that were closed off or can be rented for events for an additional cost but were not to be used. The lake itself doesn’t look to appealing to even put your feet in or let even the dogs near it lol. We came, we saw and we left. Thats just us though. Other campers may have a different opinion as there were some folks looking to have a great time kayaking and relaxing at...

We visited the lake for the first time last week and camped in the campground. The grounds were clean, the wind through the pine trees was so calming. We kayaked and fished on the lake and had an amazing time! It was a bit windy a couple of the days and the water was choppy, but can’t do anything about that. The day-use people come and go all throughout the night which also kind of irritated us, but what else are people supposed to do during a Pandemic 🤷🏼‍♀️ All-in-all, it was great and we will be back. It’s also really convenient that Williams is so close for restaurants, groceries and bait/ice, but you still feel like you are far away from civilization while you’re at the lake. The first camp host lady at the main entrance is Awesome!!! I’m sad I didn’t get her name. But she took a lot of time with us to get us to our reserved spot and was really sweet...

Our family went camping over the weekend for a birthday. Here is what happened. We went down on the 17th with f September to reserve a camp site. We get there and talk to the host,he says that they can hold a camp site it’s first come first serve. Ok, I get that. There are ten to twelve sites that have reserve sites papers on them though. He and his wife said nothing. So we came back the next morning to get the site. We had no problem. My family show’s up and we have fun. The campground host stopped by our camp site 14 times within two days, saying “You guys will be gone by 1 o’clock right. This happened like I said 14 times. We had no loud music, we laughed, and we made a new camp friend. Because of our skin we were treated like we did not belong and I grew up camping in Williams. We will not be going back there because...

My fiance and I stayed for two nights and really enjoyed our time. Pros: - Campsites are well-kept and vault toilets were very clean with minimal odor - Staff is friendly and helpful - Located just a few minutes drive from Bearizona and Safeway. Also right next to hwy 64 for a day trip to the Grand Canyon. - No mosquitos during our stay but we were a good distance from the lake and had repellent - Crowds seem to be family-oriented and respect quiet time hours - Plenty of trees and shade at every site Cons: - No potable water for washing. There are faucets throughout the campground but are supposed to be for drinking water only. - If you are tent camping there are no showers. We brought our own pop up shower tent and kiddie pool to dump used water in the vault toilet. Overall a great experience. Highly recommend this place!

Great Campground! Large paved spots, not too near other campers. The hosts are very nice and do a great job keeping the grounds and restrooms clean. No electric or sewer but there are trash cans and water spickets around the park with drinking water. Single sites are $28 and doubles are $40. The Kaibab Lake is pretty with beautiful wild flowers surrounding it and there are a lot of trails around it. Great place to stay to go shop and eat in Williams, or to go to the Grand Canyon. Edit: 2025, the water in the lake is super low, unfortunately, and the prices have changed. A regular spot is now $32 and a double spot is $55. As far as wildlife goes, there are so many stellar blue jays, chipmunks, squirrels, elk, and today we had a roadrunner show up. I love this place!
