Our family rented two rooms out for a visit spanning the last week of July and first week of August. This was done via a timeshare intermediary, and this lead to immediate problems. We were promised rooms in the same unit, and that the resort fee was covered by our original payments. When we arrived, we were still forced to pay $400 in resort fees and had to fight to get rooms that were close, but not adjacent. On a week with average temperatures above 95F, we arrived to a room with a broken air conditioner. We alerted the property immediately upon our arrival. There was no action taken for hours. We were forced to visit the front desk building in person multiple times before maintenance eventually arrived after 10PM. I have nothing but nice things to say about the maintenance staff; they did diagnose the problem quickly and were able to eventually get the room cooled down. However, the front desk was miserably rude during the entire experience. We were given promises of attention that were not met, and we were fed a line about how we could not be moved to a room with a functional air conditioner unless maintenance told them it was necessary. When we spoke to maintenance, they told us that they had never heard of such a rule. The unit was eventually fixed, but no one was able to sleep that night. Additionally, the behavior of the front desk staff was at best dismissive and at worst combative. We were accused of rudeness for reminding staff that we reported this issue immediately, and also that we had a member of our party with breathing issues who could not tolerate such high temperatures for long periods. Once again to be clear: I thank the maintenance staff for working late into the night to at least get the unit functional, but the front desk staff did nothing to support and made their antagonism clear. They did, however, state that the overall manager of the property would call us the next day to address our complaints.

We never received a call.

On the second night, the family was awoken to the fire alarm chirping at regular intervals. There was no fire, and in fact we were never given a clear explanation for what could have caused this. There was no maintenance team this time; instead, security was called in to change batteries and blow compressed air into the alarms. This did not stop the chirping from occurring, and the time between chirps was just enough to ensure no one could fall asleep. Once again, we asked if we could have our room changed as it was not possible to sleep in this condition. This time we were given that option, if we were willing to completely pack up and move all of our belongings. It was 2:30 in the morning when we were told this. No one was in a position to perform such a move. There was no option to sleep in a new room and move items in the morning, and the front desk refused to work with us. At around 3AM, the chirping ceased, again without explanation. Two nights with poor sleep made it difficult to enjoy the vacation. The remainder of the trip completed without additional major incident, but the general unfriendly demeanor of the staff continued. When new towels were requested, we received two new towels for four occupants. There was no attempt to remedy clear safety violations in the pool (including numerous children crawling all over unsafe platforms). The rooms themselves were laid out strangely, with light switches activating lights in entirely different rooms than the location of the switch. There are a number of visible stains on the furniture and bedding. The washer and dryer is loud to the point where sleep is difficult if washing occurs at night. The overall low quality of the property makes the above treatment all the more frustrating. I do not recommend anyone bring their...

My family and I stayed at this resort on our vacation to Williamsburg. We checked in on 8/14 and checked out on 8/18. On initial check in, even though it was pouring, the grounds appeared nice and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We signed up for a sales tour for the morning we were leaving and they gave us tickets to some of the historical attractions we were planning on visiting. We signed up with the intention of adding the resort to our Air B & B rental properties.

When we arrived at our condo, and began to look around we had quickly realized there was no way we would be purchasing. The inside of the condos are old, outdated, and in much need of maintenance. The carpets were worn and badly stained, most if the bedroom furniture was damaged or outright broken, window molding was falling off, and there were thick cobwebs in corners that could have been easily cleaned by the housekeeping crew. The blinds did not work in the living room to be able to open and close them, the shower heads sprayed in such a way that if left the bathroom floor flooded. There was dirt on the toilet paper where they had formed it into a triangle, the walls were marked up and in bad need of paint. For the high cost you would expect a clean, fresh look and feel. The condo felt dirty, old and in disrepair. The biggest concern we had was the ourside A/C unit (condenser) was sitting in a huge "puddle" (more like a lake because where it sits is a very low spot so all the rain water collected there and most of the "backyard" area) of water. Enough that the electrical cables were drooping into the water.

We immediately went to the check in office to cancel our tour and give the $200+ tickets back and report the condition. They canceled the tour took some notes about what I reported, we left thinking someone would call us about it. The Young lady's only response was about the cobwebs and said it was due to it being spider season. These were not fresh spider webs but thick dust filled old cobwebs. I offered to show her the pictures I took but she refused to look at them.

A couple days later the only contact I had from them was a random text welcoming us and telling us they hoped our stay was going great and let them know if we needed anything (obviously no one reported what had happened the fay before, or no one cared). I replied with the same concerns as the day before with more that had been found in the day we had been there. The only response was "I am sorry, we will look into it." No follow up, no one came to look, no one called us, nothing. That very afternoon there was dirty laundry left on the bushes out front, it stayed there for the next 2 days.

The day we went to take our 7 year old to the outside pool there was loud music playing in the pool area that contained offensive and vulgar language. Staf were doing nothing about it. The inside pool area was dark and dingy and was in need of cleaning.

For the price that is paid to stay at a so called resort, the condition of the rooms, the grounds, and the complete lack of care and attention to guests is unacceptable. We will not be returning and i cannot recommend this place to anyone. In fact I would feel it to be irresponsible if i didnt warn people and encourage them to find accommodations else where. Staying i. Historic Williansburg is less expensive and filled with far more amenities and experience for those looking for the...

I've been coming here for around 35 years and had the worst time ever this year. First off, the new timeshare tactics are ridiculous. It used to be they just offered you a gift to sit through a presentation, and if you didn't want to, that was the end of it. Now, they charge a ridiculous "resort fee" that should have been included in the booking. This "fee" is held hostage until you sit through a 90 minute(more like 180) presentation, which they will then return the entire fee. The stay was going fine until there was some sort of issue with our bath tub drain at 3am(we were sleeping). A maintenance person came around 10am to tell us about this, and asked me stupid questions about whether or not I was taking a bath at 3am. After inspection, he determined that something was wrong with the drain and had to fix it, which he did. He told us we were all set and we knew we could go on with our day. I felt as if he was planning on coming back to snoop around after we left to try and find some reason that the drain issue could have been our fault. We left at the same time as he did, and he knew we would be gone for the day because he asked what our plans were for the day. I asked if he still needed us to be there in case he had to come back and he said no because he had a key. We don't appreciate people coming into our rooms when we're not around. We've had things taken while we're out at other locations, so it's just the way we prefer it. Wouldn't you know, people came in our room while we were gone. We asked the front desk why people were in our room and they said we were given a "complimentary cleaning", which we were never told about. We were told we were supposed to be told about it at check-in, but weren't. Our stuff was moved around, and the only thing done was one of the beds was made and they dropped off more soaps and paper towels. Nothing else was "cleaned". No other bed made, no vacuuming, nothing. Just the room off the bathroom with the drain issue. You can't tell me that this was a coincidental "complimentary cleaning" the same day we have an issue with our tub, with a maintenance person who you could tell thought there was something that we did to purposely cause a leak into the downstairs unit. We felt very uncomfortable with the fact they did this, even more so that they came up with a BS excuse to enter our room while we weren't there. Not hard to see through what they were doing. We ended up packing our stuff and leaving, cutting our vacation in half. If I can't relax and trust the staff there, it's not worth staying. "Complimentary Cleanings" are not a thing, never have been. Oh, also, our televisions hardly worked. The guides wouldn't load what was on, channels didn't match to the numbers on the guide. It was a mess. I thought "if Hilton took over, maybe there will be some nicer amenities". Wrong, just the opposite. Very sad what my favorite place to vacation has become. I was left extremely...

Quick pool tour from our trip last week. Great resort! Water was still pretty cold in the outdoor pools! Indoor pool was nice and warm though! #vacation

Went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg this week and stayed at the Hilton Vacation Club The Historic Powhatan Williamsburg… And it’s was NIIIIIIIICE GURL We had a two bedroom suite with two separate bathrooms, and living room, and a kitchen! Compared to some of the other places in the area this was by FAR the best stay we’ve had! We will definitely be staying here again anytime we’re in Williamsburg! @hilton @momentsofcc
