SAM HOUSTON (Houston/Conroe/Huntsville Area) — Hotel in Willis

My first national park camping. Nice camp layout with large RV sites with full hookups. Lake access with a boat ramp and dock. There are a few hiking trails but they are not marked well. The only maps are at the district office 5 miles down the road. Maps on the park bulletin board would be nice. One of my favorite local National Forests! There are over 100 miles of trails accessible to legal off-road motorcycles. And many, many miles of trails for walking and bicycling. I think there is camping, too. Almost certainly some RV hookups? And nearby local town flavor. Convenient to Houston, very near...
