The day before my daughter’s wedding, I flew in to Texas to help her prepare for it. From the initial communication with Lacey on to the final communication with Sarah on departure, the professionalism and hospitality of the entire team was consistently remarkable. They definitely knew what to do, and how to do it; yet they all had a humble, servant heart. Just to name a few of my experiences, precious little Lacey, the Assistant Inn Keeper insisted on carrying my luggage into the house and up the stairs to my room. Such a Sweetheart! Over and over, whether running to get me another bottle of water, give me a ride on the golf cart, take care of getting things where they needed to be, etc., she was there. It was like having a personal assistant, yet she managed to do the same for the others who needed her. (Thank you, Lacey!) As far as I have observed in the management of resorts, and other venues, Sarah, the Inn Keeper is the Best of the Best. There is really not enough room to tell everything she did for us, and always with a genuinely cheerful, happy heart. (Thank you, Sarah!) She and the team did an amazing job keeping up with our requests at the same time doing their job preparing for the event. They were always in tune and always a step ahead. Same way with Frankie, another one of the managers. Without hesitation, Frankie stopped what she was doing to grab a blower to get the fresh fallen leaves away from the ceremony location. I noticed how careful she was not to disturb or blow debris on all the candles in the jars on the ground. (Thank you, Frankie!) The chef, I believe his name is Chase and his team did an excellent job preparing the selections. It was definitely a fine dining experience in quality & presentation, and tasted absolutely delicious. Repeatedly, I heard everyone speaking how much they enjoyed the food. I also want to mention Tory, Jared and David who were all so sweet, and showed their dedication in doing the best job possible. (Thank you to the entire team, including the ones that weren’t mentioned by name, only because I didn’t know it. Nevertheless, I loved the cheerful servant heart of each and every one of you. You all went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience.) I also had the opportunity to meet Mike, one of the owners. I was so impressed by his kindness to us and the way he interacted and worked with his team. He was very genuine and personable. There was a standard of excellence which was evident throughout the venue. The rooms were clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated, and included all the extras, even bathrobes and slippers. What a nice surprise it was to walk in and find all the special, and delicious treats in our rooms. (You made us feel extra special and pampered.) What an amazing place! It was beautiful! One guest had the experience of watching a small deer as she walked from her cabin. Also seeing the lights illuminating the trees at night was very pleasant for me. I also appreciated that the venue was gated and the walking areas were well lit. There were two fire pits with nice armed chairs surrounding them, and two swimming pools. Truly, the atmosphere was so peaceful it really made it hard to leave. On the website, someone commented that every detail is thought through. I couldn’t have said it better. I highly recommend the Historic Hill House for the most wonderful and memorable experience for everyone attending. It definitely...

My husband, my newborn, and I just had the most amazing two day staycation at the Historic Hill House & Farm. We came to celebrate four events all within a month: the birth of our second baby (a girl), our 14th year anniversary, my birthday, and my husband’s birthday.

From the beginning, Brian (the GM) and team were so accommodating. I called in advance to have something set up in our room for my husband. Brian made sure we had balloons for each celebration as well as a charcuterie board and a great bottle of wine to toast (at a pretty reasonable price).

The room was great. Spacious, very clean, and the bed was SUPER comfortable...you just sink in like if you were in a cloud. There was a kitchenette, where I was able to keep my pumped milk for the baby, as well as some candies to sweeten our stay.

During our first night, we had the three course meal and WOW! Everything was just delicious! What I love is that there is no menu, just chef’s choice. And the dessert: parsnip cake...to die for. We had never eaten a parsnip cake but it was amazing! After dinner, we went and sat by the campfire and had the best time with the few other couples that were also celebrating anniversaries while making s’mores.

The next day my husband took a nice run through the trails in the property and then we went off to breakfast (which starts at 9...yes!). Again, the food was just amazing. Yogurt with berries, granola, and seeds, milky eggs, country potatoes, delicious pancakes, and French press coffee. We then sat out by the pool and enjoyed the perfect 80 degree fall weather. For lunch, we were able to order sliders, tacos with drinks by the pool. Perfect breezy pool weather!

For dinner, this time, we changed to the five course meal and we are so glad we did! Just every little item was so creative. And again, dessert was a hit: sweet potato cheesecake with a roasted marshmallow top and handmade cinnamon ice cream! Yum! (You can tell I love sweets). We then sat by the campfire again and this time Dennis (father of the owner of the establishment) sat with us and we all had great conversation before heading to bed.

The next morning, we got up before breakfast and went on a nice hike with our baby strapped across my chest. The weather was great and we stumbled upon the lake. We sat by the dock and enjoyed a few minutes of peace before heading to breakfast. Breakfast was again a hit, and almost completely different stuff than the day before (only the same eggs).

We checked out but decided to enjoy a few final hours by the pool. We were the only ones there and it was great. We asked Brian if we could order lunch but the staff had already left (guests had already checked out and left, so it was understandable) but he surprised us with a cheese plate and drinks for us to enjoy by the pool. What exceptional service!

Every detail throughout our stay was just so well thought out, making our time incredibly enjoyable and something we won’t forget soon.

We are definitely making this a common staycation spot. It was just the perfect getaway we needed. We are even thinking of renting out the place for a weekend to enjoy with some family and friends, and I think there are only 7 rooms so totally doable.

Thank you, HHH&F staff! You made us feel very special during our stay. We can’t wait to...

We rented out the entire property for a private event, our wedding. We booked the place site unseen, just based on the pictures. When we went to visit it was soo much better in person, especially considering the pictures are amazing. The process of planning our event was seamless, they answered every question we had, were extremely accommodating and even provided some helpful ideas. We purchased all of our alcohol and food from them, and Chef Tori made us an amazing wedding cake. Going into the weekend we were a bit apprehensive since we knew we were going to be a big rowdy group (35 people for the whole weekend). The staff, headed up by the innkeeper Amanda, made sure everything ran seamlessly and discretely conferred with my Maid of Honor when questions or hiccups arised. She also coordinated with my husband to get a bouncy castle on the property! Amanda did such a great job, I didn't even notice her presence on our wedding day, but also had everything I wanted without having to ask. Her hospitality is unmatched in my experience and we are excited to go back and enjoy it. Dennis the groundkeeper was kind, knowledgeable and irreplaceable when it came to making sure the property looked beautiful each morning. He also helped my Maid of Honor make sure all of our gift bags were put out and the fridges for the rooms stocked with items we brought. Although I'm positive we kept him up until at least 3am each night, every morning I found him waking up before me with a smile on his face, cleaning something. HIs energy and kindness was refreshing and we would have been a hot mess without it. Chef Tori was the shining element of our weekend, where Amanda seamlessly blended, Chef Tori stood out in an amazing way. She worked closely with us on our menu for the weekend and delivered in a big way. We had vegan, gluten free, and lactose free guests, as well as a severe food allergy, and all of those guests were accomodated sooo well that I got at least 3 compliments each day from them. For us basic people, Chef Tori delivered on the menu we planned in a huge way, producing compliments all around. She also made our wedding cake, and it was perfect, I'm having to control myself from not eating the top layer that was saved. The staff and location of the Historic Hill House and Farm made our small intimate wedding a dream weekend with lots of fun, relaxing and delicious memories. We can't wait to go back for our anniversary next year and for...

We went for a full weekend with another couple to celebrate our 16th anniversary and enjoyed every minute of our time at Hill House. We stayed in the Revere room in the original home. Starting with our check in experience- upon checking in we were served with bar nuts and a lemon lavender spritzer. We purchased the foodie package and our room had a charcuterie board waiting for us. The room was immaculate and still had the charm of 1885. Our food service- every meal was phenomenal! Our servers were attentive, the food was delicious and the atmosphere of the barn was prefect. We enjoyed pool time and even had a picnic lunch pool side. Our cocktails were on point. The grounds- the original houses has a common area that we enjoyed with our friends during the heat of the day. The pool was clean and refreshing. The large porch was prefect for our evening hang outs and card playing. We enjoyed the hiking trail each morning which included some time with the Hill cows Milkshake and Annabelle and hanging by the pond watching ducklings. We booked a couple massage and it was a prefect midday relaxing session. The attention to detail that Hill House provided is hard to find. The staff is friendly, ready to assist and attentive. We will be back and honestly loved every minute of our stay.

We went here for Christmas Eve Supper and it was an experience that didn't disappoint. My wife found this place and we decided to book dinner here. I will say up front, the meal was expensive, but it ended up being worth it. The entrance is gated and you have to be buzzed in, and it initially got me worried about getting out of place or that the staff would be pretentious. That turned out to be a wrong assumption. We were greeted by the bartender, who served us up some delicious cocktails and then we sat at our table and ordered our dinner. The food was wonderful and the staff were very friendly. Our server, Frankie, was no exception. She was attentive and explained dishes when we had questions. She was also great with our son during the whole meal. We are already talking about looking at future events and going back. If this meal was any indication of what we're in for, then I and greatly looking forward to coming back!
