On July 17 thru 21, 2024 our family Reunion which we had a total of 11 reservations,||The list of problems that occur:||1. Pool was disgusting (see pictures attached),on the first day we called to report it, they inform us it was fine, after we took pictures we were informed they had someone working on it, which was not true because we were all taking turns watch it, again we called the lady which informed me they had someone there working on it right now, again it was not true because i was there at the pool looking right at it, then she said she would call me back, which she never did. After that no phone calls where never answer the rest of the stay, we could only text.||2. Patio was dirty with dirt, trash and smelt like cat urine upon our arrival, I called but again calls were never answer again so I texted but if never got swept so again I could only request a broom to sweep it myself.||3. The light on the patio was out and I request for it to be replace which it never was.||4. The door knob to the patio was falling off and I reported it at 2:30 pm on Thursday and I had to text again on Friday because they still hadn't been repaired.||5. We were baking a cobbler in the oven which is suppose to bake for 40 mins. We were all outside on the picnic tables just only 15 mins after we put it in the oven and someone saw a lot of black smoke coming from our room. The cobbler had burnt black, if we hadn't seen it, it would have caught on fire. The whole apartment was full of black smoke. So the oven does not work correctly.||6. Dirty grills - All the grills were dirty. I did request for the grills to be clean, but they never were. They didn't even at least leave something there for us to clean them.||7. Cats - There were no less then 11 cats staying under our patio. That is why our patio smelt like cat urine.||8. Ceiling Fan fell from ceiling - My sisters cabin on the patio there was a ceiling fan, the fan detached from the ceiling and fell to the ground, thank God no one was on the patio at the time because it could have killed someone.||These specific issue/problem we encountered has had a significant impact on our family reunion which we had planned since last year, you knew we were coming and due to the lake level being the way it is and the temperature being 95 to 100 degrees on these days the pool should have been in working condition. We had numerous children in our party and due to the pools condition were not able to swim. I was also informed before we arrived that everyone was able to swim at the boat ramp. So we were in the impression that we would be able to swim at the boat ramp or at the pool. Upon our arrival the pool was not operable and we could not swim at the boat ramp. If we had been informed ahead of time we could have reschedule this trip or canceled. But instead at 95 to 100 degrees weather the only way we could go swimming is to pack all our equipment (which we didn't have much because this was not planned, no grill, chairs, or canopy), and had to pay to enter a park to swim. Which we should have been swimming and BBQ at the resort we paid for. The main reason we picked this resort was due to my 84 year old mother who could have been enjoying her time with her family at the swimming pool through out the day and could go in & out of the room with air condition due to the sun. This family reunion cost us thousands of dollars and it broke her heart and ours that she didn't get to spend the days sitting there watching us swimming and enjoying the days at the pool. I believe that as a valued customer, I deserve to receive better treatment and a swift resolution to this matter.||I have attempted to address this issue by call and texting. Each time we called we were informed the only phone number we could have was 210 787-1770 or 210 749-8820 the 8820 is the number that quit answering during the first day and never answered again during a complete stay. We requested a managers number but was still only given the 8820 number. However, the response I received was unsatisfactory, and I feel that my concerns were not adequately addressed.||"DO NOT STAY HERE" they refuse to talk or contact us about the problems we had, more less give us any...

I rented a room at Canyon Lakeview Resort for our ladies weekend over Labor Day weekend, and I regret it. I wish I could get my money back. Especially for the price… Even for a holiday weekend, $250 a day was incredibly overpriced. This felt like a bait and switch, even with our calls to the front desk.

Some of the biggest issues were fire hazards and safety issues. We had outlets with no faceplates. Two lights in the unit didn’t work. Our porch ceiling fan was missing a blade but didn’t work anyway. Also, the stove burners were wrapped in tinfoil, which seemed very sketchy.. Again, not what we expected for a $250 a night resort. Lastly, the two double stacked dorm fridges would either freeze the food or not keep it refrigerated, so we threw out all of the food because we did not trust that it was still safe to eat.

The pool was green and one of us came out of the pool and stirred up clumps of algae. I was surprised that the pool was not cared for, especially during the summer in Texas. The front desk said that the pool was safe to swim in but it was cloudy. No, the pool was gross.

Shortly after arriving, we realized that our “Sleeps 6” room only had 3 sets of towels and we were also short on tableware, too. There wasn’t much at all for being a “full kitchen “. We had to have another friend bring some of these items from their house. When someone advertises that the room would have deer feed, you would think it would be there. It was not.

There was maintenance and cleanliness issues: The handle on the shower was missing No dish soap, dish clothes, dish drainer, paper towels or a second roll of toilet paper The floors were absolutely filthy Again, two nights for $500 and they can’t even provide extra toilet paper? We happened to be outside and saw a worker and asked if we could get the paper product. They did bring a paper towel roll and some toilet paper.

On top of all of that, there were neighbors that were so loud that even several other people complained. We weren’t even able to sit on the porch with the broken ceiling fan because they were so loud. The only thing that the resort did was to send out a text message to all guests saying to be quiet. We responded to the text that it was still extremely loud past midnight. They responded that had talked to them. It still took another 45 minutes before it was quiet enough to...

We DID NOT love our stay. My review would be titled DINGY, DIRTY, NEGLECTED. Initially walking in, we were greeted with spider webs. We had to keep pulling them off our faces and out of our hair as we walked through the living room area, bunks and bedroom. They were in between the light/fan pulls, curtains, halls and doorways. Please note, they were not new webs. They were old, hanging and dusty, which tells me they have been there a while and the room just needs a good cleaning. Two receptacles had missing plates, exposing the outlet housing and one in the bathroom that was broken with the bottom missing. We had 4 lights that wouldn't work because the bulbs were burnt. The bathroom tub had no handle to turn the water on/off and the lever to close the tub drain was missing. To use the tub, I had to use a towel to turn the water on and off and I had to makeshift a drain plug/stopper. There were no towel bars on the walls, only holes in the sheet rock where they were. The towel bars, towel ring and screws were under the bathroom sink. There were only a few plastic store hangers I assume were left by previous guest. Before we could cook anything, we had to wash the pots, pans and utensils. They were visually dirty and when you touched them, they were greasy and there were dead flies in the cabinet. The floors throughout the unit were so dirty that the bottoms of our feet were black and the carpet in the bedroom had stuff on the floor and needed to be vacuumed. While walking the grounds, there was trash everywhere. Cans and bottles left in common areas. Trash cans in those areas would help with that. We tried to swim in the pool, but the pool was murky and dirty. The sides and floor were so rough that both our boys had to stop swimming because they their feet were bleeding. This was our first trip and experience to the Hill Country. While the scenery was beautiful, our accommodations were extremely disappointing. Definitely not worth the money we spent. ** The resort asked us to leave a review of we loved our stay our contact then directly if not. This was my response to them directly. It has been a week and they have not responded.
