The Disco Domes — Hotel in Wimberley

Where do I start about this amazing property??!! I just stayed there recently and let me tell you, this was one of the most unique stays in the Texas Hill Country. I stayed once before in a dome during a visit to Costa Rica which was supported by air inflation but the Mexico dome at The Disco Ranch is structurally supported so there's no worrying about making sure doors are shut properly so it doesn't deflate. The design and layout of the dome is perfectly planned and executed, maintaining ample privacy during your stay. The interior of the dome was decorated and outfitted with everything you'd need for your stay while making it homey and beyond comfortable. You don't even have to worry about bringing basic toiletries because they've got you covered. The personal pool was so refreshing and perfect way to cool down during my stay. The views from the dome were so mesmerizing and I found myself staring out quite a bit. Whether it was drinking my coffee while watching the sun rise, to watching the colorful South Texas sunset, to stargazing at night. Speaking of coffee, you don't even need to bring your own because that is furnished too. I could go on for more but am trying to keep this review short (which I'm already failing at). My fiancée booked us the dome (Africa) to celebrate my 27th birthday and it did not disappoint. We got there and immediately started exploring the dome itself and all its details. I recommend taking the recommended hike to the creek and taking a blanket. It was exciting and we sat by the creek for a while. They have the prettiest chickens I've ever seen on the property. Our favorite thing from the dome was the outdoor tub. I was worried that there wouldn't be enough hot water to fill it as it is a big tub but again the Disco Dome Ranch did not disappoint. The outdoor shower is cozy as well in case you go in fresher weather like we did. We recommend the projector and the indoor fireplace. Also, staying in and cooking would be best if you wish to connect with your significant other. The view was stunning and nighttime was used to cook, watch movies, and dance under the disco lights. You are also near Canyon lake, Wimberly, and San Marcos(with Austin being about 50mins away). So if you are more about traveling and staying in it's a good location. They do have some board games I brought an extra one as well. My only regret is that we forgot to sign the guest book. It's an absolute treasure! The hosts have thought of every detail to ensure you have the most luxurious stay possible. Is it warm out? There's an idealic pool for a refreshing dip. Is it cold out? Take a warm bath or shower under the stars. Want to have a dance party? Do so under your personal disco ball with preset live recorded dj sets! 💃🏽Cozy up to the fire inside or out in the provided plush bathrobes. Fully equipped kitchen and the option for a cooler to take outside by the pool. I have stayed here many times and created memories that will last a lifetime.
