At Rivers Edge — Hotel in Winchester

My husband and I got married At rivers edge on 9/28/24 and from the beginning (touring of the venue) it was perfect. Emily & Blake (the owners) are true gems. You really don’t find many people like them in the wedding industry!

We ended up booking the luxe weekend package meaning we had our rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and a bit of time to clean up Sunday, as well as the AMAZING CABINS!

Safety after drinking and not driving was very important to my husband and I! Having a cabin for us to stay at that night, his family, my family, and some extended family of mine as we all became one was perfect!

My husband and his groomsmen stayed in two of the cabins the night before… knowing they were already on site and couldn’t be late was an instant stress reliever for me! My girls and I also started getting ready in one of the cabins and then moved to the bridal suite. This honestly worked perfectly and I found not have been happier. Plus it was nice to get some fresh air on the balcony overlooking the river that morning to help with the nerves!

The wedding was everything I could have imagined. I can’t even list everything they did for us that day because honestly I don’t know it all!

If you look up the weather for September 28th, 2024 it rained… I mean rained! I knew it was going to ease up to a mist for the ceremony and I was determined to get married outside…. They set up chairs and wiped them down for guests! The reception was amazing and during cocktail hour Emily took us up the hill for more amazing pictures!

At the end of the night it was so nice to retreat back to the cabins and just relax instantly as we reminisced the day and enjoyed the beautiful cabin!

I could not recommend this venue more! If you are debating about the cabins as well seriously do it because now we have a special place to go back to on our anniversaries and I look forward to hopefully getting to bring our kids their one day to see where mom and dad got married and enjoy the beautiful rivers and cabins.

At River's Edge was absolutely perfect for our special day! From the moment we booked the venue, the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The space itself was beautiful and well-maintained, providing the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The on-site amenities were top-notch, and our guests were thoroughly impressed with the level of service provided.

The layout of the venue was ideal for our needs, with plenty of space for both our indoor and outdoor celebrations. The decor was elegant and tasteful, allowing us to add personal touches to make the space feel like our own. The catering staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything looked absolutely perfect and was replenished throughout the reception.

We ended up staying the night before our wedding and getting ready the morning of the wedding at one the cabins and the cabin was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere for our wedding party.

Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. Our day was truly magical, thanks in large part Emily at At River's Edge. Emily was organized, professional, and attentive to every detail. She made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding, allowing me to relax and enjoy the moment without any added stress. We got married at The Barn at River’s Edge in July 2024. There could not have been a more perfect venue for our new family. While the location and reasonable price point were what drew us to the venue, we were so grateful for the many other reasons it is such a great venue.

For starters, Emily is an absolute treasure—she will work with you from start to finish to ensure that your day goes smoothly and beautifully, and she is very understanding and kind. She has accumulated a great list of vendors to help you make selections for your wedding.

It was also such a blessing that our out-of-town family had the option to stay onsite in the cabins, which are cute and fun (and that was honestly so helpful for them to have a place to get ready on the day of the wedding after helping with rehearsal dinner and decorating).

All that said, my personal favorite aspect of this venue was the many different backdrop options for photography. Wedding photos of our new family were really important to me, and while the Barn itself is gorgeous, Emily will drive you all over their large property to give you options of a beautiful hilltop view, a setting right on the water’s edge, and a gorgeous tree tunnel (that I’m sure is even more amazing in the fall!). Our wedding photos are truly stunning and I’m so thankful for them.

I can’t recommend The Barn at River’s Edge enough! Truly a hidden gem...
