Pine Creek Retreat Center — Hotel in Winchester

Our family usually attend with our christian church group about 150 to 200 members at this facility for our 3 days annual retreat for the past 3 years continuously. I have put this review with real pain that such a good christian organization turn into a worst bad commercial center. The center responsible person called "Director" is not responsive to any of our concerns or questions mostly not like a person representing a real christian organisation. It is surprising to see that this is the "Christian" center. Few of the reasons are below. Though we book one year in advance, it is not guaranteed to get the the rooms as planned. you will get the e-mail 24 hours before that you will not get a full block of of rooms and if you ask about it , they make some unrealistic excuse that we don't have time to clean the room, also change their tone says that the current rooms are enough for you people. Last 3 years we use the zip-line activity as part of the agreement. This year we are told that it is not included and they would charge $15 per person (Think about 150 group of people). Please note that this was informed recently not at the time of booking the room one year before. we normally use our own potluck kind of Dinner. Mostly we use the regular Dinner room and then we do professional cleaning after that. All of a sudden it was denied and we are asked to pay for that. Food quality is very bad. All of the foods are frozen. very salty. For example they server some think called "Bacon". we really not sure what it is. we can't find it anywhere in the world. Many part of the facility area (specifically upstairs) are not clean. This is the alert to any church organization who wants to use this facility that these people are dangerous and they will change their term as they wish and simply say that "Nothing is guaranteed " as per agreement.

Basically Poor food, Average facility, Non christian attitude.

I believe that we are all brothers and sisters within Jesus Christ and it seems it is not true in this Christian center...

I Absolutely love this facility. I am part of a network of youth pastors that join together every year to put on a camp for young people Jr. Hi through Senior Hi. It provides a place in the country side to get away from the distractions.

The view from the rooms in the lodge of the mountainside is amazing. The chapel easily sits over 300, and provides a great place to worship and have service. There are plenty of smaller rooms, and breakout areas for your groups.

The food is some of the best I have ever had at any kind of camp, and the portions are plenty.

The staff makes every effort to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

In the past few years, they have added more activities, and remodeled many of the buildings.

Possibly the best retreat center I've been to in the past 6-7 years. If your group cares about A/V and stage lighting, this is the place. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and helped us the best they could. They have a decent DMX lighting setup as well as an iMac with Pro Presenter and a Behringer X32 mixer for audio. They also have decently fast internet considering the fact that it is a retreat center which was critical for our group. Also the food is pretty good and the rooms and showers are clean. Overall, everything helps to create an experience where you can focus on the retreat. Would definitely...
