My husband and I came into town to visit family and stayed here for a whole week and it was perfect. The cabin we stayed in was just what we were looking for.
-less than 5-10 minutes to Lake Cypress, Walleye Park, Overlook Park and the Cove Restaurant which is right on the lake and ~12min to Mt Vernon and the grocery store. Brand new cabin with a full kitchen and everything needed to cook. Gas grill worked amazingly too. -There was a handheld shower hose (instead of just a fixed wall showerhead) in the shower which was awesome bc that’s a must for me to wash my long hair! -The king size bed was comfortable w plenty of pillows. The AC units (2) were easily adjustable and kept the place nice and cool, which is imperative in a Texas summer! The covered porch was so nice to sit and enjoy a cold drink w a nice ceiling fan to keep ya cool. We didn’t use the fireplace but I can imagine it would be SO NICE in the Fall/Winter. The onsite laundry facility was brand new and so convenient. 4 commercial washers and dryers that you could pay for either w quarters or the PayRange App. They worked great and everything was clean. We didn’t use the shower facility (there were several individual, completely private showers (6?) but I looked into one and it had beautiful tile and was very clean and smelled sanitized. The area was quiet and we felt very safe. Jennifer and her husband were very welcoming and we just felt like part of the family! We would definitely stay again and I highly recommend The Pines RV &...
Read moreExcellent retreat in East Texas! If you're reading this, you can stop now and book an RV site or cabin with great confidence. The wife and I have traveled from Nashville to Vegas in our fiver, and this place has the most level pad sites we've ever seen. I recalibrated my auto leveler to match because we have never been so level, anywhere. Beautiful scenery. Quiet. Everything was super clean. I swear even the air is cleaner. We woke up incredibly refreshed. This will definitely be our new launching point/rest area on our way to Hot Springs. They have a venue for weddings and a young couple got hitched during our stay and made use of their suites. What a wonderful time to reflect and just think about all the places we've been. This place truly is a hidden gem. We were fortunate enough to meet the owners, and they were so genuine, accommodating, and curious about what our impressions were. We have no notes. They thought of everything. One feature they have that we thought is unique is their buddy sites. So you can have two campers where the front doors and awning are facing each other. Brilliant. There's a restaurant nearby, the cove, and their food was excellent as well. Whether passing through for the night or choosing a destination RV Resort or venue space for your event on the lake,...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I with our two dogs came to the area for work. While new to the area, we stayed at a different RV park and was extremely uncomfortable with the circumstances so I got to hunting for a new place and luckily discovered The Pines. I stopped by and was blown away. The pictures do not do this place justice by any means. It’s the first time I have come home and been grateful to be in a quiet and peaceful environment. It’s not like any of the other RV parks in the area. There’s simply no comparison. The pad sites were extremely well taken care of. The dog park, laundry room, bathrooms, and game room were amazing. The entire property is extremely clean and neat. The owners have done an incredible job building this park with quality and customer service at its forefront. It shows with the incredible genuine hospitality that they have shown us for the past 6 months. We really loved it here and truthfully did not want to leave. A full...
