This is a beautiful “ranch”. We rented at THE HOLE IN THE WALL for 2 nights. Very quiet and beautiful land. When we arrived we looked for information about the land and trails trying to find how to get to the lake, etc. The woman who was there when we arrived said there was a trail map in the suite. We could not find it nor the WiFi info. Then hour later found a very small laminated 3x5 card on the refrigerator, for the trail. There was no information as to what the WiFi name was, but on the fridge were written the password. I would suggest to the host to make printed info regarding history, map, and WiFi. BE AWARE there will not be any ice or ice trays. We had to go buy ice. The suite had an odor like my grandmas house. Suggest an air freshener. Going to the restroom there is a small step in the hall and then a small step to the toilet and shower. After using that area I fell because I forgot there was a step to the sink and door. If one is handicapped this could be something you may not want to deal with. The oven was needing cleaned. I put a note about that on the fridge. May need to bring an extension cord for your cell phone charging. The kayaks were a let down. They were so dirty we didn’t use them. Walking to where the canoe and kayaks were was not easy. I would suggest making a better path, please. Overall we enjoyed our stay even with these...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed at Sundance Ranch for his 50th birthday. It was an absolutely magical experience! We both felt like we had been transported to our own little private island. Time moved slower, it seemed. Our cabin was gorgeous and had everything we needed for a few days stay.
Another plus is that there's plenty to do on the property. Our first day we hiked the hiking trails, the second day we spent out on the lake, trying assorted lake toys such as kayaks, canoes, paddle boards etc. Including the use of the boats with your stay really adds a significant value and I'm glad it's something Sundance offers!
Our cabin had an outdoor shower that was pure bliss. My husband and I took a shower in the daylight and let the sun envelope us. It was a spiritual experience that I recommend everyone try at least once in their lives! Keep in mind the outdoor shower is totally open. There are no doors, curtains etc and if someone is boating on the lake, they might see you!
And last but not least, the service was immaculate! Every employee we interacted with was lovely, and although we didn't have an opportunity to meet with the hosts, the digital conversations that we had were pleasant and Melissa typically responds promptly. Both my husband and myself cannot...
Read moreI apologize for the delay in posting this review, but I couldn’t go without sharing how incredible my experience was at San Vincente Lake Cabin. Upon arrival, I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, Melissa, who was exceptionally kind and helpful—her warmth truly set the tone for my stay. I deeply appreciate the first-class hospitality and the genuine care that was shown throughout my visit.
Rhonda, thank you so much for going above and beyond. It was my birthday retreat, and she went out of her way to make it feel special—bringing fresh coffee to my cabin to make sure I had it in the morning. She even kindly offered to accompany me out on the lake if I wanted to do any water activities, since it was just me and my dog George. Her thoughtfulness and presence made the experience feel truly welcoming.
This place is a true hidden gem—a peaceful, authentic hideaway where you can fully unwind and feel at ease. Immaculately clean and thoughtfully maintained, it’s run by sincerely caring people who clearly value their guests and the experience they create.
I highly recommend Sundance Ranch to everyone I know—whether for work, personal escapes, or social retreats. George and I will definitely be back soon. Thank you from the bottom of my heart—I’m...
