If your idea of the perfect B&B experience includes a warm welcome by the hosts, beautiful accommodations with their own personality, meeting other guests in an unimposing and friendly atmosphere, an excellent meal to kick off your day, and the little extras that tie it all together, then this is the place for you.||||My wife and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary with a hiking/wining trip through Washington and Oregon and this was our first stop. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Carrol, Gary, and Pat and immediately treated to wine and cheese on the back deck, where we met another couple that was also staying.||||The accommodations were beautiful, with comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. The common rooms were inviting and you really felt "at home" rather than a hotel experience.||||We stayed in the Wunderlust room with the romance package (beautiful peach colored roses, bottle of champagne, and delicious chocolates). In the morning, we had coffee on our private deck overlooking the woods with the sounds of birds. Breakfast was lovely fresh baked scones, fruit, and individually baked goat cheese quiche.||||Unfortunately, I made the mistake of only staying one night but on departure, received a lovely fresh baked gingerbread cake for the road.||||The big things (accommodations, service, etc) are important but I find that very often its the little things that really enhance the memory and experience. Our hosts really made sure that we left wanting to come back and I hope to do so in the not too...
Read moreOur two-night stay at the Hideaway Lodge Bed and Breakfast was truly one of the most comfortable and enjoyable lodging experiences we have ... well... experienced! Our hosts Pat, Carol and Gary were simply the most friendly and enjoyable people to meet. They were extremely organized and accommodating making sure all our needs were met. Their breakfasts were elegant that included seasonally fresh ingredients, a choice of several juices and the coffee was robust! All dietary needs were met for all the guests and the portions were generous. What more could you ask for? Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, extremely well-appointed and looked out to their forested three acres. The views could be mistaken for lush oil paintings. At night, the quiet surroundings cradled us to sleep like we were hibernating bears in the deep woods. When we arrived, we were invited to their afternoon "Wine Down" on the large deck dappled in sunshine near the dining area. Carol and Gary greeted us with a charcuterie board and a choice of red or white wine. Soon Pat joined us and our conversation was fun and casual. A perfect way to get to know our hosts and for us to introduce ourselves. This was our first time in Woodinville and we really did enjoy our time at the wedding we were attending but .... at the end of each day, we really looked forward to returning to the hidden gem we found on that weekend, The...
Read moreThis inviting, pristinely clean, warm house that Gary and Carol would love to share is a real treat. The B&B is their home and Pat, their assistant innkeeper also lives on the property in an apartment. They provide a warm welcome and share the space, and wine/snacks generously. The rooms are private with bathroom within, but guests access their space via the main house (common to everyone). It comes with all the standard amenities (soap/shampoo/towels etc). The breakfast satisfied our paletes even after a fine dinner at the Herbfarm. Common areas include a large selection of books and games, wood burning fireplace, home theater, access to dishes/fridge/utensils in the kitchen, outdoor sport court, plenty of free parking, and beautiful woodsy outdoor deck. The Hideaway Lodge is on a large residential lot (fun to explore by the way) a mere mile from the center of Woodinville. While the road to town is not at all walkable, it's an easy drive or Uber. We enjoyed exploring the area, to include hiking the Paradise valley conservation area a 10 minute drive away, visiting Molbak's to learn about local horticulture, and of course the once-in-a-lifetime 9-course meal we've managed to experience twice now at the Herbfarm. Upon our departure it was like ending a family visit as Gary and Carol walked us to our car. They genuinely love...
