There are two Grandview hotels, one near Williamsport PA (technically in Linden) and one in Lock Haven PA. Only the Lock Haven Grandview has been renovated. The Williamsport Grandview is old, run down, and from the highway appears abandoned. Both entrances have been blocked by the highway department; apparently there is an ongoing legal dispute. We stayed at the Williamsport Grandview in early June 2024. With the entrances blocked and only one car in the lot it looked closed even though we had a booking. We circled multiple times before finding an unmarked entrance on a side street. The rooms have a single window in front; the bedroom has no window and resembles an underground bunker. The interior doors are dirty and nothing has been painted, upgraded or renovated for years. However, thanks to a diligent onsite housekeeper the room was clean, with no smell typical of budget motels, and the kitchen was functional. There is no onsite manager/office and the check-in process was confusing and frustrating. It seems odd that the price for this unrenovated half-closed hotel is the same as for the renovated Lock...
Read moreIm giving this a hotel 4 three stars and heres why.. The rooms are nice and we'll maintained but you cant get ANYTHING done around here its like pulling freaking teeth. You either cant catch the people in the office because they are gone all day or running the roads. Tge wifi has no password so any one of the 50 houses can sign on to the wifi and drain it so you get NO WIFI half the time. Or the router needs to be reset and there isnt anybody around to reset it. When your paying right at 400 a week thats 1600 a month and and you cant even get decent wifi its almost insane. But other than that if you dont need anything its an ok place. The best part is id have to say is nobody really gets in your business. They do let you live your life and stay off your back basically, everybody minds their business. If we could get better wifi connection and i dont have to fight it for hours to connect then there really wouldnt be much...
Read moreMy husband has been staying here while away at work & I went up to visit him....its a cute little place, alittle hard to get to from where he works at (you have to use this little road on the left & cut across 2 lanes of traffic to get to the entrance) but it wasnt too bad to get to...I was surprised at how nice the room actually was...its set up like a little apartment! His room has a full size oven, full size fridge, sink to do dishes & a little island with stools...they even have a few odds & ends of dishes, silverware & other miscellaneous kitchen items....the bedroom was spacious...had a dresser for clothes...beds were comfy ...bathroom was decent, it wasnt real big but wasnt the smallest I've seen...the livingroom had a sofa in it...it was like being at home....he likes it there & it certainly beats...
