Comfort Suites — Hotel in Wooster

5/3/2024- 965 Dover Road, Wooster, Oh location. KING SUITE NON SMOKING 2ND FLOOR ROOM 216. This would be the Berlin Amish Country location. First time in area and Hotel. I am a concert goer ( went to Amish Country Theatre )- and go to alot of stuff around the states. I also stay at a good few Hotel. I keep a log in detail of such. First, unlike most people on a review they DO NOT list a STANDARD deposit info. Alot of Hotel will NOT put that in fine print. So, you got to call every darn place around the area to see before book. A big time waste for me. Alot of Hotels will charge low rate and hit you with a 100.00 on top in fine print and not in fine print also. This also I can't afford after a Hotel and trip, concert tixs all else with a Hotel at times. That said- This Hotel details in my view are- 1. NO STANDARD DEPOSIT booked by CARD. I gather there IS if paid in cash though 2. Good location on a two lane back Amish road. You Will get the Amish buggy and Horse on the road which is pretty cool. Leave time if you got to be some place soon. Alot of parking lot at Hotel 3. Check- in is fast and staff nice. 4. Very clean Hotel and rooms. 5. Beds are very nice NOT stiff as a block. 6. Water is hot and shower pressure is just great. You want to stay in there trust me lol. It is like a wow factor vs other Hotels cutting pressure down and heat to it. 7. Very silent to sleep. 8. Breakfast is 6am till 10am. Alot to eat, hot and kept up with as stuff needs refilled. Great breakfast and bonus for Biscuits and gravy on the line . I give this Hotel a 10 out 10 out all I stopped at. Trust me- I am a hard person when I rate and rare for me to even rate and take time to do such. Best I had and will log it to book on my next time in area....

Awful experience and it didn’t have to be! Staff CANT be trusted! Left something in the room and called back after I was home to see if it was found. Was promised a phone call back never received it. That was the final straw. While at the hotel the TV wasn’t working I requested someone to look at it and the front desk said oh that remote doesn’t work if you’re in room whatever. So they do the whole time. Why didn’t they tell us at check in? Ask us at check in? Or fix it. They arrived with batteries for the remote. And they said they would it was almost an hour later. By then totally frustrated and fed up and didn’t even answer the door. Sure breakfast was good although you had to wait to get the food because they didn’t make enough. But the lack of concern by the staff is wet sent me over the edge. They told me that they may have a manager called two different times and they also promised to call me once they look to see if my watch is been found. Will never stay at this hotel again based on the lack of communication and poor poor staff. The manager in my eyes isn’t doing her job or his job because they would’ve made sure that staff did a better job. Thank you Comfort Suites for poor stay and making me realitwhat an untrained and unreliable staff can so to ruin a great weekend! Do not trust...

Ten days before arrival, my three rooms at a different Choice Hotel was unexpectedly unavailable during perhaps the busiest week of the year in the area (Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week). Scrambling, I came across this hotel, which had better reviews than most but slightly further from Canton than I previously hoped. From checking in with Heidi, to interacting with Ty for breakfast (which included a hot breakfast and had waffles, a delicious breakfast casserole in addition to a variety of fruit, breads, and cereals) and with Sue during the stay, and from checking out with Kelly and Brandi, the entire staff were friendly and engaging. The suites were very spacious, very clean and very accommodating. It was an easy ride from Canton. The ONLY drawback which is preventing a 5-star rating was the WiFi/cell phone reception. The signal was intermittent and sometimes required our party to come out our rooms to get a stronger signal. This seriously needs to be upgraded.
