First trip in our new to us motorhome. Ok the good. People were super friendly! Randy, Mike and Heidi were all terrific helpful and accommodating. The restrooms nice and clean. The fishing pond was great I caught fish everyday. Would have been nice to keep 5 bluegill for a little fish fry would also help the pond grow larger bluegill. There are quite a lot of permanent residents. They keep their places very well kept. Ok the improvement part. They need better Internet even my hotspot on my own phone didn't work right after dark when campers showed up or when the permanent residents came home and forget it on the weekend they tell you not to stream when you get there. I'm sure it's because of the seclusion of the campground. There was a dryer not functioning properly finally Randy told me so I switched. That would have been nice to know before I stuck 4$ in it. Don't mind the sights not being paved but it would be nice if the roads around the campground were. Store could be stocked better but in their defense they were remodeling the office area and roof. I did like that they sold live bait (you should add crickets just saying). Last thing I absolutely loved the seclusion of the campground. Also only 10 minutes from the prairie peddler which is what my wife came for as well as to see her mom. Enjoy the pics.

We had the absolute best time at this campground! The owners and staff are the sweetest. They genuinely care that their guests have the best possible stay. Lisa, Courtney, the manager (her name slips my mind), Tom, the maintenance guys - they all treated us like family and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Everything was clean. Quiet hours are respected by guests, even on Memorial Day weekend! The holiday activities they plan are perfect - a hay ride, really neat crafts, a live trumpet player for the Memorial Day ceremony, fishing derby, for hole tournament. The camp store is perfect as well. They have a little bit of everything just in case. The pool is heated which was neat for the kids this chilly weekend! And the mini golf course was so fun! We can’t say enough! If you have young kiddos like we do (ages 2-6) I would recommend staying at the cabins across from the playground in order to keep a close eye on them 👍🏻 The cabins are the best! They’re small but perfect for a place to rest your head! If you’re looking for a smaller, family-friendly campground with amazing staff, you have to visit Butler/Mohican KOA! -The Becks

This is a really nice, small, and quiet KOA. The staff were very friendly (Looks like kids run the show, didn't see any adults) but, they ran it great. Our check-in and check-out was very quick and smooth. Their shop is one of the most affordable ones I've been in and it's kept very clean. We went for Father's day and they had activities, but I wish the posted more about them when we checked in so we knew more about what was going on that weekend. They're fishing pond was very nice and we caught a decent amount of fish. The campsites seem to be well kept and clean. The bathrooms were clean but, I wish they had better water pressure and it would have been helpful to have a family bathroom since we have little ones. Trying to shower the little ones in the normal bath house was very cramped. All in all, very nice and friendly campground.

I really debated posting a review because the youth staff is extremely pleasant and kind but as a family who camps quite a bit, we rely heavily on reviews to make our decisions in where we stay.

This booking was primarily made because it was last minute on a holiday weekend and they happened to have an opening. Upon arrival our check in process was easy, but when we arrived to our tent site, the area had not been mowed and the site had heavy sticks. There truly wasn’t an actual pad for our tent like others we have been to prior. We cleared the area and setup camp.

They advertise pedal bikes, air hockey, and game room, but they didn’t have any of this. The facilities are pretty run down and it definitely needs an overall update. The putt putt course shouldn’t even be advertised because it’s so ran down and the pond is more of a marsh. A staff member mentioned it was on their list of renovations to do but in reading reviews, someone posted 3 years ago it was run down. The pool is heated but it is very small and doesn’t seem the cleanest. We did the walking trails and there were quite a bit of large trees down over the main trail that we couldn’t just climb over and had to find a way around.

The restrooms were eh with cleanliness and they really didn’t have any water pressure.

They had a cornhole tournament and put a sign on the door that said “staff is at cornhole” which would seem okay to then go to the tournament and EASILY find the staff. I didn’t see a single staff shirt and the only reason I knew to go to the person I did is because I had seen her cleaning the pool earlier that day. They were just hanging out at the tournament watching. Just seemed as if priorities were not in the right place.

Quiet times are not honored as two nights in a row, regulars thought it would be a great idea at 10:20pm to do a golf cart parade with bright lights and honking horns throughout the entire campground. Then having neighbors blasting music not just through the entire day with profanities but also into the night not ending until 10:30pm

They do offer wifi which is nice, but we have Verizon and even with the wifi we really didn’t have any service. It wasn’t a huge deal to us as we were all together as a family, but for anyone staying who may have things back at home that they need to keep up on, consider a backup plan.

One thing we thought was a great service that the offered was having wood delivered to your site after paying for it. They also have a little keurig coffee bar that was a nice tough Dr a quick coffee grab.

We have stayed at KOAs prior and have had overall great experiences. We were glad this wasn’t our first KOA experience or we probably wouldn’t stay at one again. Overall you pay extra for the stay at KOA campgrounds for amenities and to be above other campgrounds....

Stayed here awhile back and it was a nightmare. We used to camp here on a regular basis but all of that changed on our last visit. We honestly had been camping here at least twice a year from 1994 until this last time. Our French Bulldog accidentally got loose from his tie down as we were setting up camp. He ran towards a couple who were walking their 2 little dogs. I realize they had know way of knowing at the time that our dog only wanted to play with their dogs. I apologized to the couple and went to get my dog. The man, who was unstable at best, berated me for letting my dog run loose. I explained that it was an accident he got loose but that was not good enough for this guy. He continued to yell profanities at me at the top of his lungs then, as God is my witness, he actually came at me and grab my shirt because my apology was not sufficient for him. I knew this guy was all bark and no bite so I decided to not knock him into the woods. I told him he was a little touched and he came at me again. I laughed it off and went back to my campsite. 10 minutes later the female owner came to visit us because these two went to the office to complain about us. Outstanding. We thought it was over but since the guy looked like a fool he wanted to save face I guess. The female owner asked what happened and I explained everything to her. I admitted fault with my dog getting loose and apologized to her and told her I was aware that dogs needed to be leashed and told her it would not happen again. I have no idea what line he fed her but she sure bought it. I guess because I didn't beg her forgiveness on bended knee she told us to leave the campground. We where there a total of one hour and did not receive any of our money back. We will never camp here again until the ownership changes. If you camp here just beware. If you have an issue with another camper make sure you go " snitch" on them first. The owner is Judge, Jury and...

My family had an amazing camping trip.. we have camped all of our lives.. we know how to really rough it and also how to glamp.. however because of the amount of people we had on this particular trip we rented the electric camp sites... with that we had skillets, phones, a coffee pot and a college fridge... the electricity was the lowest voltage you could possibly use.. so to make coffee you had to unplug literally everything and only that device can be used.. took 35 minutes to brew... however we had also brought a camp stove..but the camp store does not have propane .. they also don't have mantels for lamp.. we camped from Tuesday to Friday... on Tuesday and Wednesday we used the campsite next to us to play corn hole... now to clarify the camp was nearly completely empty... but because we had complained the managers were going to charge us for using the additional site for a game.. we only played it there because it was flat.. and yes we could played anywhere.. we just didn't see it as a big deal.. not to mention they literally charge you for every head and every pet... I've had better experiences and paid nearly nothing. ..had we rented a site that had zero electricity we would have personally made sure to camp the rough way.. but when electric is available you tried to make it an easier trip... not spend an hour making hotcakes in a skillet that cooked 2 in 15 minutes... I'm only writing this to inform others with the same idea.. be prepared to fully rough it even in an electric site... Also mowing lawns from 8 am to 8 pm on Wednesday and Thursday's... bathrooms do not get cleaned everyday.. no toilet paper.. 3 available showers.. only one with pressure and heat.. mens shower no heat at all... just not ran the way a KOA should be ran... Again my family had an amazing time with...
