This summer, 2021, we'd been there 4 times, July 4th weekend. The previous long weekend and other 2 regular weekends. We always get there around 7, 8 pm. We'd been lucky to accommodate a place because it's always full but some people leaves Saturday morning. Sometimes us very windy. I couldn't fly my drone Mavic 2 Zoom. When windy is cold, even in summer. If it's not windy is hot but in yhe shade you would need a jacket. Toilets are vaulted. This is an old design so odor is brought for the wind to the last site. During May and early June you will see every day hikers coming to run the whole PCT, so they get afternoon and leave early in yhe morning.

Read moreCamped there last night...they literally just opened the campsite yesterday. Trail is hard to get to. Need a 4x4 or Jeep. Large rocks on the trail in addition to two parts of a rather large tree that fell on the trail. We had to do work to get by...you get the point now on what I am saying. Once we got there the place did not disappoint. Would have given a 5 except for the pesky nats...there were a lot. No problem with wind. It actually died down at night, and picked up in the morning.
