This summer, 2021, we'd been there 4 times, July 4th weekend. The previous long weekend and other 2 regular weekends. We always get there around 7, 8 pm. We'd been lucky to accommodate a place because it's always full but some people leaves Saturday morning. Sometimes us very windy. I couldn't fly my drone Mavic 2 Zoom. When windy is cold, even in summer. If it's not windy is hot but in yhe shade you would need a jacket. Toilets are vaulted. This is an old design so odor is brought for the wind to the last site. During May and early June you will see every day hikers coming to run the whole PCT, so they get afternoon and leave early in yhe morning.

No water, except, sometimes there's water at the end of the campground going down (there's a sign...

Camped there last night...they literally just opened the campsite yesterday. Trail is hard to get to. Need a 4x4 or Jeep. Large rocks on the trail in addition to two parts of a rather large tree that fell on the trail. We had to do work to get by...you get the point now on what I am saying. Once we got there the place did not disappoint. Would have given a 5 except for the pesky nats...there were a lot. No problem with wind. It actually died down at night, and picked up in the morning. Still not bad. Plenty of space, shared the campground with all the PCT'rs making their trek. Will...

One of my favorite campgrounds. The view is very good during the day and awesome at night. I get very good cell phone service too. Campsites are well maintained and the kybo is clean. It gets very windy here at times but I love the sounds. The PCT runs thru and trail angels stock water by the old water tank. Great basecamp for short...

As everyone else says, it is secluded and beautiful! Itโ€™s really a beautiful place. And just like everyone else says, prepare for legit serious wind. Itโ€™s at the top of a ridge and it gusts in this spot all the time. Be prepared (bad for big tents, and be ready to not have a campfire).
