Wow..where do I even start!? We ate in the dining room for Valentine's Day. First we were taken to a table in the very back corner of the restaurant, it was so dark you could barely see the menu. We waited for 20 minutes before the waitress even glanced our way. When she came to the table I told her that we had been waiting and she replies with "Oh, well I will go see if I can find who you belong to." She comes back another 5-10 minutes later and says "Well no one claimed you so I will just take your order." like we were inconveniencing her. ||||So we order two glasses of Lambrusco, when it is delivered to the table it's flat (or oxidized for those wine connoisseur's out there). So we had to send it back. Next comes the prime rib.....this was the absolute thinnest piece of prime rib I have ever seen and to top it off... it's COLD!! The baked potato wasn't much warmer, in fact, it wasn't even warm enough to melt the butter on top of it!! ||||I am beyond disappointed with this experience! I have eaten here several times in the past and have never had an issue like this. Actually, I've never had an issue like this anywhere I have ever eaten. This was the last straw for me...

Generally I would go to Oliver's in Wysox for a good market price steak in the Towanda area.... I stop by the Wyalusing hotel often for to go orders after a local Wyalusing football game, mainly for their taco salads in a yummy deep fried taco bowl... However tonight I decided to change it up and spend "date night" in the bar and grille side of the Wyalusing Hotel and ordered a 16 Oz. ribeye cooked medium. (See attached photo) Even thought the bar was busy the servers were extremely attentive. I ordered a double Malibu bay breeze and they remembered and regularly refilled without having to be asked. We ordered a surf and turf special, ribeye with extra side dishes, appetizers and to go orders for our kids and we were about $200 at the end of the night, this would have easily been a $300+ night elsewhere locally. Didn't realize how well prepared their steaks were or else we would have been coming here regularly for date night!! Give them a chance if your in the Wyalusing area, I do not think you would be...

we are working in town and wanted to explore so we got a room here and a bite to eat, they were very nice showed me the newer rooms in the annex, and the Historic rooms at the hotel, we choose the historic rooms, they were clean and comfy, had a nice deck on either side for your pleasure to sit outside and enjoy the weather, I meet Adam the owners son hes very sweet, my husband wanted to head to work the next morning very early, Adam said he would give me a ride back to my car when I was ready which was awesome, they have a laundry area for you, which i used love it, we have now stayed there 4 times, I really like the historic side mostly for the outdoor seating, the bar staff is very friendly. Oh and the Water...

The resturant aspect was very good. Great food and great service. The hotel part was absolutely not up to my expectations. The toilet seat was broken off upon my arrival. The bed mattress was absolutely horrible. It was just beat down and needs replacing. I ran out of hot water while shaving. Then after it built back up to hot again, I took a hot shower that quickly went cold. I ended up rinsing off in pure cold. I beyond a doubt will never rent a room there again, but Id definitely visit the bar/resturant again. Combined on a scale of 1 to 10, Id give the overall establishment a 4 star rating. My 2 day/night experience was less then pleasurable.

I couldn't wait to try out this restaurant! I'm glad I did but unfortunately won't be returning. I will start off my saying the staff is very good and the presentation of the food ordered was done nicely and generous portions. The problem was with the taste of the gravy on the meatloaf that was extremely salty and the French onion soup had no crusty piece of bread in it and had no flavor to the broth and not 1 piece of onion in it and was served lukewarm. The biscuits and gravy and cheeseburger happened to be very good, French fries were served cold!
