After looking at the photos and the location of the Poetry Inn, I knew it was the place to propose to my girlfriend in the valley. Jennifer and the rest of the Poetry Inn staff were incredibly accommodating and helped me order flowers and have a bottle of champagne ready. The hotel has a few suites all with excellent views and handcrafted details. We loved spending time on our balcony basking in the sunlight and enjoying the view. The breakfast service in the morning was very tasty and came at a moments notice to the room once we called in. My fiancé and I can't wait to keep coming back here for future anniversaries.

You need 10 stars to just scratch the surface of how amazing this place is! The hospitality and facilities are unmatched anywhere. So beautiful and the food was out of this world!

This place was amazing. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because it fell short on some minor details. First of all, the view. WOW!! I stayed in the top floor, Robert Louis Stevenson suite. The view was impeccable, overlooking the Staggs leap district. You can see the gorgeous house of the owner of the property propped up on a hill in the distance (who also owns Cliff Lede winery). You also get a great perspective on the sunset from your balcony. The porch is a nice area to relax and it was nice to cozy up next to a wood burning fireplace. The shower was comforting and relaxing as we took in the views of Napa. The warm tiles were easy on our toes as we exited the shower or came through our private entrance. The outdoor shower was fun also, as you can adjust each individual blind to give you as much privacy as you want without completely isolating the Napa views. The first morning we opted for breakfast in our room. We told them the night before and they setup our table during turn down service. The morning of, we called for our coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. They dropped it off with some delicious Bouchon baked goods. He also gave us a menu, advising us to call when we are ready. We called and ordered our next two courses. I got the fruit and salmon, she got the granola and omelete. The fruit was good, nothing special. Blueberries, pears, orange and a slice of lime. The granola was delicious with fruit and yogurt. The salmon came with two perfectly toasted slices of brioche and arugala, capers and pickled onions along with a dollop of cream cheese and chives. Delicious. The omelete had mushrooms and came with a small salad on the side, which was a nice compliment. That night we paid for the in room dining. We had the option of chicken, beef or fish and everyrhing else was left up to the chef. We could of had more input but had no worries about what the chef might prepare. They set up our table and brought some warm bread with butter. We had an option of drinks but just chose water and apple cider. They brought out an amousboush of bread with sauted mushrooms and cheese. It was only a bite or two but full of flavor. The next course was a cream of cauliflower soup with brioche croutons. Everything was scrumptious and perfect. It got our appetite going and eager for the main course. The soup was the perfect temperature and creamy, full of flavor. The crispy, salty croutons accompanied it perfectly. The main course for her was a filet on top of mushroom risotto. I had a chicken hind quarter on top of Brussel sprouts and roast poatoes. Simply delicolious. The chicken had a crispy skin and was salty but full of herbal flavors. The roasted potatoes were browned to a crisp and the sprouts were caramelized to perfection. The steak was cooked perfectly, juicy and tender. The risotto complimented it with all of its creamy, cheesy goodness. All the mushrooms tied it all together. For dessert we had home mad cashew brittle, ice cream and apple pie. Not too sweet but a nice way to end the meal. All the food was outstanding... even the fresh baked cookies in the lobby (when not burned)

My few nit pick negatives about my stay are as follows: -no in room phone worked upon my arrival DVD player on TV played movies in black and white. Connections were probably messed up WIFI kept dropping in our room and was slow mini bar had wine for purchase but no liquor. burned cookies in the lobby

All these were very minor annoyances that didn't lead to a perfect score. I don't know, I guess I expect a little more when...

I write this as I wait for our late checkout. The Innkeepers here are unparalleled in their kindness. We have had a tough last 24 hours because my husband lost our rental car keys. The Innkeepers have been incredible, from trying to help us find the keys, to picking up our dinner from R&D Kitchen last night for us because we couldn’t drive ourselves. They even let us checkout late without additional charges and have been calm and caring. ||The property is unbelievable. The pool is refreshing and clean. The welcome wine and cheese board was a phenomenal start to our stay, and the Emily Dickenson (sp?) is cozy. I’ve now experienced a heated floor, the most thoughtful amenities (body loofa?!?!) and perfect isolation from Covid 19. We are both essential workers (I manage a Covid 19 ICU), he works to support VPN so people can work remote, and we have never felt so relaxed in a short period of time. ||We will book to escape here again soon. Do not question thinking about making reservations, life is too short. Do it now. You won’t regret it. ||To the team at The Poetry Inn, thank you for every single minute and thank you for restoring us physically and mentally during the toughest time of our lives as working professionals and parents. We deeply...

Poetry Inn was highly recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. We’ve been coming to the Napa area for years and I’m not sure how we missed this lovely gem but we are so glad our friend suggested it. If you desire peace, tranquility, comfort, unparalleled views, luxury and personalized service, this is the place! The staff was so very thoughtful and accommodating, from dinner reservations to private wine tastings, we enjoyed everything they lined up for us. Breakfast each morning was divine, three courses of absolute deliciousness! We’ve been coming to the area for many years and Poetry Inn is at the top of our list and new favorite. Can’t wait to return. Thank you for making my husband’s birthday truly memorable...
