I almost want to keeps this place a secret, it’s that good! The drive in is a bit rough, and long but we did it in a Camaro so obviously it’s doable. The pool is spectacular, the staff is friendly and attentive when needed but kind of disappear into the background when you don’t need them. You get a phone number to text if you need anything or have any questions and they are very prompt to answer or bring you what you need. We visited during rattlesnake season but didn’t see any, even on hikes around the area. This is such a wonderful place, we hated leaving and considered changing plane tickets and our car rental and staying another day just to hang out on the grounds and swim/shower under the stars. Staying longer ended up not working out because of my work schedule ☹️ but we will be back for sure! This is a kid free zone, FYI, this trip was a couples vacation but I would love to bring my 15-year-old but according to the rules thats not allowed. But pets are allowed! Out of this world location and night sky. Book it! You will be so pleased! We stayed in Air Cabin #4. ❤️❤️❤️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This is such a little gem. We stayed in the Aphrodite cottage. It was a great balance of privacy and community. Exactly as advertised and very clean. Check in and out were simple and without suprise. The use of a private patio, sunbathing area , BBQ and gated driveway made our relaxing trip as stress free as possible. We did some hiking around the property and loved the views. We will be staying here again and hopefully next time we will open up our schedule a bit to accommodate some horse backing and pool time.

UPDATE: After posting initial review, as requested I contacted management, with pictures and have not received another response. These pictures are the dust under the bed, bugs in the bathtub, and the outdoor patio from my September 2020 stay. I stayed in September, 2020, in the Aphrodite Cottage and it was filthy dirty, so many bugs, checked out 2 days early because I couldn’t deal with the bugs and they didn’t respond to my request for a partial refund for leaving early. Wouldn’t recommend.

Hidden Passage is the PERFECT off the grid getaway! We were very apprehensive about going anywhere with COVID-19 still being a threat, but those uneasy feeling were put to rest the moment we walked through the door. Greeted with the scent of lemony freshness and the sight of a spotless room we nestled right in.

This spot is so off the beaten track the sounds from the nearby highway completely disappear! So much so that our first breakfast was spent whispering to one another as to not disturb the peaceful silence.

The pool set up is equally fantastic. It is meant to be shared by everyone in the comple, BUT Diane has set up personal social distanced lounge chairs for the guests. It was a small slice of normalcy that I didn't know I missed so much! If you still feel uneasy with the pool setup there are lounge chairs available a few steps outside the studio. They overlook the picturesque desert landscape. It's the perfect spot for a good book and a glass of wine! (Sparkling white wine was perfect in the warm sun).

As for the neighboring attractions: Joshua Tree is a short drive away, there is a nature reserve for easier hikes a few minutes drive up the highway, and Vons and other fun shops are just over the hill into Yucca Valley. When you do decide to get back to Hidden Passage or want to spend the night in the wifi and TV set up is fantastic.

Overall, a great getaway and a great...

Hidden Passage and Diane are amazing!! My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the Athena cottage (which has a fantastic view of the property and sunrise). It was a perfect getaway spot during covid. It’s very beautiful, clean and private. We barely saw another person the whole time we were there, even though all the cottages were sold out. The pellet stove inside was perfect for the chilly winter nights, and all the supplies needed were supplied. Due to the winds, we couldn’t use a heater outside so prepare to bundle up if you’d like to stargaze! The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans/dishes and the grill worked well. Diane was super responsive the whole stay, and check in/check out was super straightforward and easy (and contactless!). We will definitely be...
