My friend and I stayed there one night end of August.||Rooms were a bit old and the smell was very strong. A mix of humidity and very powerful sanitizer. ||Price was very expensite (50$/ US - one night) especially for the treatment you get. ||Breakfast is from 8 to 10 and it’s very very basic. ||Check out is at 10 am there. So me and my friend checked out on time and asked to leave our bags at the hostel for a short while before to take our bus around 1pm. It seems to bother them but they accepted. ||So we left the hotel to go and get some cash out. ||When we came back to pick up our bag at the hostel (around 11am) no one was there to receive us. The hotel was simply empty. So while I was waiting, I decided to serve myself a coffee from the same morning breakfast. Set up from breakfast stay there all day close to some table, in an open space area. The filter coffee is not removed either. It stays there all day and the coffee tank was still full. So since it was some old coffee left from the morning, I just poured myself one . I putted in the microwave to warm it up since it was cold. It was fine to me anyway, didn’t want to bother anyone. ||As soon as I took out this old coffee from the microwave finally someone showed up. The owner. But he wasn’t here to receive us but to shout at me. ||He was simply very angry I served myself a coffee from the self-service buffet since it was after check out. He told me that it was no more staff now to « rince my cup » and will have to Charged me for that coffee. According to him this is how it works anywhere in the world, in any hotel.||I almost laugh as I thought it was a joke. First cause I’ve been working in restaurant/ hotel industry for the last 10 years, and also cause I’ve been travelling for a years now in many hostel/hotel and never seen someone getting so angry after customer serving themselves an old morning coffee from the buffet table.||||So I kindly wash the cup myself...

The hotel has a restaurant right next door (the only place where you can eat in Castillos it seemed). Rooms and beds were tidy, breakfast was minimal. My friends forgot their passports at the hotel and they e-mailed me when they found them...
