Punta Del Este Arenas Hotel & Resort — Hotel in Chihuahua

I got there by accident on the way to Montevideo attracted by the pictures on the net.||What the web does not make you see are the conditions of the restaurant / breakfast: apart from being more depressing of an African lodge in cattive acque, the hygienic conditions are shocking! I skip the details.||The rooms are comfortable, newly redone in a cheap way, but decent, and the beds are comfortable. The pool is great, although there is music apparatus on one edge that, if falls into the water pushed by a running child, could make a massacre. But they assured me that the fuses will blew out, and would not happen anything! Very reassuring! ||Those poor people who have been hired to solve the multiple problems of the hotel, are left to themselves without a minimum of direction nor a budget from the totally absent property, buisy in drinking Mate somewher else. Why do you want to open a hotel, I say, if you do not put a minimum commitment, and claim that prices, when compared to others of the surroundings, ridiculous. Comparable to an old Mid West Motel, but with a better pool ... hoping that the music system will not...

They advertise as 4 stars, the only thing that is 4 stars is the sq meters of the room, other than that, this is not even 2 stars, in 5 days there, they didnt change the bedsheets ONCE.. never.. the room was noisy, there is a disco on the other part of the hotel (the hotel is actually 2 hotels, the other side is called Chihuahua resort and is a nude hotel) and the music from the disco was VERY loud on our room.. the place was build with very VERY cheap materials, the room had NO POWER OUTLETS at all.. so forget about charging your cellphone or laptop, wow.. the room didnt even have a PHONE.. come on.. No PHONE on a 4 star hotel? no room service, actually NO SERVICE, they didnt let a friend of us past the front gate.. so they must wait for you outside, in the deserted street.. under the sun.. there are construction debris all over.. and about some reviews here that give it 5 start.. well those reviewers also gave the hotel next door 5 start (same owner) so take them with a grain of salt.. btw the hotel is in a quiet area .. kinda far from downtown punta del este.. but thats not an issue.. and its closeby...

Pagamos por un 4 estrellas y fuimos una posada venida a menos. Tuvimos un cambio de último momento en nuestras vacaciones, por lo que encontramos este hotel y fuimos sin mirar mucho las opiniones. GRAN ERROR. La verdad que el lugar no es reflejo de las fotos que están publicadas en su perfil ni en su página web. El hotel está muy muy venido a menos, falta mantenimiento en general en absolutamente todo, las instalaciones están bastante abandonadas. Ya para empezar te encontrás con el poco amigable gesto de que tenés que pagar hasta por el parking. Luego otro cartel en la recepción que confirma lo que sospechábamos: el desayuno no está incluido. Zas. Sin wi fi en las habitaciones, y el de la recepción funcionaba bastante mal. Cuando llegamos un chico se estaba quejando de los mosquitos y lo mandaron al supermercado a comprar Raid. Luego en el salón principal tenés la sala de juegos mezclada con una barra de tragos (sin nadie, todo desolado) con luces de neón y al lado la piscina climatizada! Todo mezclado! Una bizarreada total. El restaurant no lo probamos, pero lo mismo: era una carta impresa en una hoja de computadora en Times New Roman con precios en dólares y todo comida chatarra con precios altos. Manteles rojos tipo navideños de parador rutero. En este entorno ni nos animamos a probar. No vimos gente comiendo ahí hasta el último día que había un par de mesas desayunando (te cobraban 12 dólares por desayunar). Del personal no tenemos mucho que decir, era gente atenta pero todo muy desorganizado y desprolijo (no era culpa de ellos). El momento más anecdótico fue cuando tuvimos que discutir con el encargado porque piscina chiquita exterior que el día anterior era climatizada, estaba apagada. El agua estaba fría, como salida de la canilla. Él nos discutía que estaba a 37º grados. ¡TREINTA Y SIETE GRADOS! En fin, el error fue nuestro por no llevar un termómetro en el equipaje (¿?). La piscina grande tenía un quincho donde en algún momento parece que funcionó una barra, pero estaba abandonada y se veían los rastros de en algún momento pasó algo por las cosas tiradas adentro. El lugar no estaba mal (no había gente y el tiempo ayudó, y nuestras ganas de disfrutar nos hicieron verlo con ojos de cariño), pero está muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy distante de ser un hotel 4 estrellas, es una posada modesta y bastante venida a menos. La vegetación descuidada, mosquitos por todos lados (en la noche te volvían loca), las toallas viejas. Carteles en hoja de computadora pegados por todos lados cual campamento Artigas con normas ridículas. La habitación no estaba mal, pero como ya dije anteriormente, era una posada no un hotel. Toallas viejas, tenías que pedir absolutamente todo. En la foto de la habitación había una mesa y dos sillas, nunca estuvieron. Había una especie de kitchenette con microondas, pero nunca nos habían avisado. Que nos venía bien por el tema de la bebé, pero de todas formas no te dejaban el mueble estaba completamente vacío, ni un tenedor, ni un vaso, ni un plato, así que no tenía mucho sentido. Como tuvimos que pagar por adelantado por tripadvisor, nos tuvimos que quedar 4 días. Nos cobraron 200 dólares por noche, la verdad que sentí que estaba en un lugar que valía menos de la mitad. Lástima que no miré antes opiniones. No volveré y estaré atenta a que ningún amigo caiga en...
