Perhaps the best food we've had in Uruguay. Amazing fresh locally sourced food in a chic but rustic atmosphere. Varied menu you might expect in much more cosmopolitan setting...all this in a rural location minutes from Colonia. The choice of beer was excellent. On the night we dined there was a duo playing charming ethnic music. It was so great that we came back the next day for what was an outstanding lunch. Lovely 2 night stay here with my family. It’s a special place! Perfect if you have a car. The most beautiful calm beach is a 5 minute drive, perfect for the kids. My kids were sad to leave their 2 sweet dogs. We stayed during 95 degree heat and the rooms were still comfortable.

Breakfast was delicious and Jelen, who served it, was so sweet and welcoming. We loved our conversations even though, sadly, my Spanish needs more work! :) We would spend more time here, nice break...
