Mon Petit Hotel — Hotel in Colonia

I had the privilege of staying at Mon Petit Hotel de Campo and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Mon Petit is a 17 room hotel on the main highway about 40km out of Colonia del Sacramento. It has just undergone a massive renovation and they have done a fabulous job. With very modern decor and lovely gardens to roam around in, this hotel is a lovely spot. Our children enjoyed playing in the expansive gardens and the playground and we all enjoyed the comfort of the modern room and the great service. The staff were very friendly and helped us with all our questions and requests. Breakfast was nice in a quiet setting with nice decor. The hotel is still undergoing more renovations and adding of other services such as fishing in the area, horse-riding, a heated swimming pool and more. While staying at Mon Petit we found fabulous restaurants nearby in Rosario (Restaurante El Mati) and Colonia Suiza (Hotel Suizo) as well as spending a day in Colonia del Sacramento (our all time favourite place to visit in Uruguay). Over the past 4 years we have been in Uruguay the prices for accommodation in Colonia del Sacramento have increased substantially so staying out of town is a great option. Not to mention that finding rooms for a family of four can be hard in Uruguay. Mon Petit offers double, triple and quadruple rooms, including breakfast. It is worth checking out this...

This hotel is the most lovely place in the world. I have never experienced any better in my life. The high energy and vibration of this place is beyond words. Everything is in pure harmony. Kind and helpful staff. Very warm atmosphere. The park is an exquisit place, lovely trees and a beautiful riverside walk within the property. At a beautiful sunrise the combination of sweat scent of blossom flowers with the most impressive chorus of native birds. The restaurant has a nice view and offers delicious home made meals. Part of the water source is from a well very impressive. The rooms are modern, simple decor, fresh, super clean, you can leave the windows opened (there's a mosquito net,) very nice. Hotel cumplidor. No estoy 100% segura, porque de entrada pedí una habitación con aire acondicionado, pero creo que hay habitaciones con y sin aire. Por mi parte a destacar: ubicado al costado de la ruta, lo cual lo hace más que accesible y en particular no me resultó particularmente ruidoso, aún cuando el ventanal de la habitación daba a la ruta tiene desayuno buffet incluido, con una variedad aceptable (debo decir que lo que no me agradó del desayuno es que el jugo de naranja no era natural, y tuve que pedir leche fría, porque la que está a disposición es caliente) hay piscina interna y externa, eso es un rencontra plus tiene la opción de comer ahí mismo en el hotel, cosas básicas como pizza, empanadas, sandwiches calientes (abonando) o se puede pedir delivery, en caso de pedir delivery, recomiendo mucho pedir a la parrillita la limpieza correcta y al menos en la habitación que nos tocó el baño super amplio aunque parezca una tontería, me encantó toda la decoración Como puntos a mi criterio no tan positivos: en el baño hay dispenser de dúo shampoo/acondicionador y gel de ducha, que en nuestra habitación estaba un poco alto, para personas bajas como yo (y aparte que no es culpa del hotel, viajé lesionada), me quedaba un poco incómoda la altura el otro punto no tan positivo, es que la gente que atiende, si bien es super amable, no siempre está a mano, así que todo demoraba bastante (pedir la comida, pedir agua caliente o bebida, etc) la señal de wifi no es nada buena estaría bueno que haya frigobar en la habitación, para aunque sea poder enfriar la bebida, que te dejan enfriarla en sus heladeras de la cocina, pero si querés tomar agua fresca a la noche, no te dan ganas de ir a recepción y menos si tenés que esperar De todas formas, como nos resultó super a mano, muy tranquilo y en definitiva cumplió, no tengo dudas de que vamos a volver cuando tengamos que hospedarnos de camino...
