Estancia turistica La amorosa — Hotel in Flores

Our stay on the Estancia has been a dream come true! From day one Walter took us with him to the horses and let us help with the cattle on the beautiful campo. His horses are incredibly well trained and made even those feel safe and sound who didn`t have a lot of previous riding experience. Walter has been a very patient, calm and reliable host and made us feel home and welcome on the estancia. The horseback rides with Walter are amazing (some horses better than others!) but that is all I would recommend. This was not the experience we were hoping for. The owner is Italian and does not live on site. We were the only people there and were not welcomed with any hospitality. The food was very expensive for what you get. There are much better value estancias with a more authentic atmosphere all over Uruguay. I would not recommend staying here unless you are looking to be left completely alone. The rooms were ok...

Excellent place to rest in contact with nature. Horse lovers paradise! The food is superb and the staff treat you like family. The accommodations are great. We went with my wife and had a great time, spent two nights and came back full of energy and peace. There's no wifi and that's part of the charm of the place.
