Hotel Los Pinos Country — Hotel in Punta Del Este

The hotel badly needs a makeover - it doesn't fulfil the expectations raised by the inviting photos and relatively high (for Punta del Este) prices. My guess is that it was built some decades ago, in Punta's heyday, when its now dated setup seemed modern and luxurious. Both infrastructure and maintenance are issues. For example, there are several pools but they are dirty and the edges are crumbling and the lounge chairs and other equipment are dirty and look abandoned. The pool area changing cabin was filthy. (I didn't use it but I did peek in.) In my guest room, the soap dispenser kept falling off the wall, the light bulb in the entryway wasn't working, and there was only one functional outlet that I could access. The rear door (to the patio) was rickety and anyone who wanted to break in could have. The cleaner kept leaving that door open until I requested that it be closed. The breakfast was OK but the coffee was strong (in a percolator kind of bad way). During my stay we had one day with a water stoppage, one day with a power outage and one day where the guest wifi stopped working. The one bright spot was the staff, who were really helpful and made my stay so much better than it would otherwise have been. My message to potential guests: Approach this...

PÉSIMA EXPERIENCIA, NO VOLVEMOS MAS: CERO mantenimiento (hotel abandonado/roto), CERO atención al cliente (no te dan solución, no hay Gerente con quien hablar, malos modales y falta de palabra de la encargada Cristina). Por paquete Buquebus pagamos una semana del 21 al 28 de Enero’24 en hab. Superior, al llegar al hotel nos dan una hab. Standard que estaba abandonada (olor a encierro, baño roto, sin frigobar – llegamos con alimentos que necesitaban frío, los tuvimos que tirar -, sin escritorio ni silla donde apoyar algo), diciendo que no tienen ninguna hab. Superior por la primer noche para pasarnos (cobrando 2 veces la hab. a nosotros y otra persona que la ocupó), al segundo día nos pasan a la hab. Superior 315 que NO LO ES (griferías del baño y bañadera rotas chorreando todo, mojando nuestras cosas en sector bacha y empapando hasta el piso. Armarios con olor a encierro, colgamos solo alguna ropa afuera (casi toda tuvo que quedar en las valijas). 1 perchero exterior oxidado que te oxida/arruina la ropa. Teléfono sin tono, no teniendo otro para cambiar. No te reponen papel higiénico, tenés que ir personalmente a pedirlo por no tener teléfono. Mosquitero roto, no podés abrir la ventana en pleno verano para que no te entren los mosquitos)- Hab. en sector cercano a bomba de agua que hacía MUCHO RUIDO NO DEJANDO DORMIR de noche NI DESCANSAR de día, no trajeron a nadie para revisarla, un suplicio. Gimnasio con olor a encierro, sucio, abandonado. Piscinas con aguas sucias y jacuzzi sin encender. Reposeras sucias, rotas y con excrementos de pájaros. Baño de piscinas inhabilitado. Duchas de piscina inhabilitadas (en pleno Enero nadie en el único sector lindo por estar abandonado). Uno está en modo vacación y espera pasarla bien, lo último que imagina es tener que quejarse, son tantas cosas que están mal que ya no te dan ni ganas. NO HAY RELACION PRECIO-CALIDAD (un hotel 2 estrellas mínimamente mantenido es mucho mejor y pagas mucho menos). Desde el hotel le dijeron a Buquebus que por la primer noche indebidamente dada en hab. Standard en vez de Superior nos darían una comida, mentira, en el hotel el 22/01/24 la encargada Cristina te dice que la comida es tercerizada y que recibiremos por mail un voucher por 1 noche en hab. Superior, siendo 31/01/24 no lo recibimos, falta de palabra y mentiras, decepción total. EVITEN PASARLA...

TERRIBLE HOTEL! DO NOT STAY HERE!! This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.The swimming pool was filthy; the wifi was very poor; the breakfast was basic; everything smelled musty; there was not safebox; there were no coffee/tea making facilities; only one power socket; the bathroom was not ventilated; the hot tap made a screeching noise when I turned it on, and would not turn off. THIS HOTEL NEEDS TO BE RENOVATED! I checked out as soon as I could and moved to the Hotel Solarios, which is a gorgeous hotel...
