HAYAT PLAZA HOTEL & SPA — Hotel in Samarkand City

Disappointing stay at Hayat Plaza Samarkand – Not recommended for families or couples.

Location is the only good thing — tourist attractions are nearby (2 to 2.5 km range), but that’s where the positives end.

The rooms were a mess: • AC wasn’t working. • No Muslim shower in the bathroom. • Sockets not placed near the bed. • Poor layout, zero privacy.

Room service? Useless. Breakfast? A complete joke. Despite knowing that many tourists from India, Pakistan, and other Asian countries visit Uzbekistan, they serve a dull, limited English breakfast. We paid for it but didn’t even bother eating — it deserves a zero.

Security? Shocking. Around 2 or 3 AM, someone tried to open our door from outside. Thankfully, it was locked from inside. Totally unsafe and unacceptable.

If you’re coming from the UAE, India, Pakistan, or anywhere with family or as a couple — do not stay here. It’s not worth your money, comfort, or...

Overall a great place to stay. Comfortable, quiet, nice swimming area (real heated pool). Rooms rather small. But breakfast needs a real improvement, especially for the rates paid. No butter, no fruit and we had to ask for milk every single day (though there are cereals being offered, no clue how people eat cornflakes here). Always long queue at the coffee machine. The machine was not maintained (cleaning, adding water and beans) before breakfast's opening times but rather when guests were already present and complaining. It happened the three days we were there. Also, it needs rearranging. Because of the queue at the coffee machine, dishes, glasses or cutlery are hardly accessible. A nice swimming pool, they manage the water so clean. (Also, sauna which is additional payment) Great breakfast, all food is so fresh (From continental to oriental) Has elevator !!! Never seen this in Uzbekistan!!! 24 hours check-in, they are so flexible ;) All staffs are helpful

The location is not so near the historical sites but only 10minutes by taxi which costs less than $2 This area is less busy and more clean compared to main square so that good for family visit.

Some beddings and towels were stained but I think it’s not their fault, but customer’s.
