Sayyoh Hotel — Hotel in Tashkent

This is a true jam in the dusty Tashkent. Very clean, well equipped, nice looking rooms. Fantastic breakfast with a wide choices of freshly made food and delicacies, fruit etc. There is also a wonderful cook that makes breakfast dishes by order and adjusts to dietary needs. ||Above all, very kind and caring staff ready to help you any time. Good English and Russian are spoken.||It is about 9 km from the airport and little further from the city centre, but with the metro that is near by you can conveniently, cheaply and quickly reach centre, train station and other parts of the city (I would recommend traveling around with the metro so you can also enjoy to see the beautiful architecture of metro stations).Taxi from the airport is according to the negotiation skills, we paid 20.000 SOM or 2,5€, to the train station 12.000 SOM.||Would stay here on the next visits, absolutely recommended. Very arrogant, rude and disgusting staff the hotel has. Last night, on November 2, 2020, my friends and I organised a small surprising birthday wish with a cake and balloons to another friend of ours that came to Uzb from overseas and staying at the hotel. However, the hotel staff ruined everything we planned and didn’t let us go up to the room and congratulate him on his birthday. As well, We planned to get plates, forks and small cups to have the cake and drinks, but they refused to give them either. Plus, they insisted that we must leave the building even though we stayed in the reception area which is always supposed to be open 24/7. In a word, we all have the worst impressions ever on that Sayyoh hotel. The hospitality is zero there and thus this type of unprofessionals gives the worst impressions to everyone. THE staff are excellent and very hard working especially the ladies who prepare the breakfast and the bell boys. ||taxis are cheap in tashkent therefore getting round the city is easy. this is a new hotel with new rooms and the spacious showers, with good water pressure. ||||we were travelling with a young child and needed a cot which the hotel did not have so they went out and bought a new cot!!! i was suprised! ||||the staff will help to flag down a taxi and to change money! ||||i would 110% stay here! special thanks to the lovely staff who were friendly! ||||the hotel isn't centrally based may be 7 minutes in a taxi from the bazar however given the quality of rooms, good breakfast it is definitely value for money. when going out take the hotels business card so the taxi can...
