Hacienda Santa Teresa — Hotel in Parroquia El Consejo

Been wanting to do this for a long time and finally managed to get some family members together to do it. Excellent experience! The place is beautiful and each image has it's own beauty. We took the tour (reservations and tickets required) highly recommended, and our guides were great. Very professional and knowledgable and extremely nice and friendly. You get to taste 3 different rums during the tour in 3 different cocktails and the guides give you details about each one. You can also do a Rum Tasting (reservations required and ticketa required) and they have a restaurant. There's also the Shop where you can get their rums and some pretty souvenirs. There's also a Coffee Bar inside the shop where we tried the Carajillo and the Alcatraz. Amazing coffee and very friendly staff. Hacienda Santa Teresa is owned and managed by the 5th generation of the Vollmer family. Their history is a very interesting and pretty one, worth some research and reading. This is a must visit. I hope to return on my next trip...

The visit to this distillery is a perfect touristic activity. The Hacienda showcases the sugarcane plantations with the distillery section on a train tour for it's visitors filled with history and rum. The sights are gorgeous, and the experience is quite good. Their social outreach programs are a great example of how to do things right. It is located at a close enough distance from two major cities and it is a great way to spend a different day. Only complain is the lack of food offers and the high prices of the only area where to purchase food inside the Hacienda. With the quantities of rum offered, more accessible food options inside would be better in order to help visitors not...

Loved our experience at ST . Customer service is great online and in store. We did the Ruta. Which includes 3 drinks. It was lovely but they will only speak in Spanish eventhou they were 6 English speakers in our group. They need to find a way to change this. You could ask the guide Qs in eng but still the whole thing wasn't. We had lunch afterwards at their rest and it was very nice until plp with massive cigars sit nx to you and spoil it. AGAIN, you can create a smoker only area . Overall...
