I have booked this place while doing 4 day ha-giang loop by myself along with a friend. We booked budget private room while we were here. We reached by 4pm around and at that time no only 1/2 rooms were occupied. We found the place very nice peaceful and clean. Unfortunately on the same day some big group has also checked-in to this place. We had asked for dinner to have it there but the owner and their family was too busy in serving the big group with hot-pot and lots of side dishes with rice/noodles. All we got was left of side dishes from that group's dinner. They were not interested in serving us well may be because we were 2 person only. All we got in 160k dong for dinner is: vegetable stew, fried corn with excessive oil, raw cucumber, some local fried mashed potato and one plate sausages. We had to ask for serve some more dishes and they gave us just a bowl of rice. So dinner was horrible, we had to sleep empty stomach. Also the same night the group was making lot of noice by playing loud music on big speakers provided by property. The rooms were in the dorm kind of structure where they provide us budget private room having shared wooden partitions, where other people were smoking carelessly. Also the washrooms were having blurred fiber kind of doors, which were quite transparent to notice what is happening inside.
Overall the stay was not pleasant and...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I arrived with our guides late at night. Food was good and owner was friendly… so we thought. I’m giving this place a one star because the next morning, we wanted a picture with the homeowner in front of the homestay’s sign, as he took a picture with us, he happened to place his hand on my girlfriend’s rear. At first we gave him the benefit of doubt and brushed it off. As I walked away, he then asked to take a picture with with just my girlfriend but my girlfriend blocked her rear with her hand. I hopped back in the picture because I felt weird about it. I didn’t see any of this as it was happening, but my girlfriend told me about it afterwards. When we returned to the homestay at night, we had hot pot dinner with two other couples that came in that night. Homeowner was very pushy with the corn wine shots, even when we constantly told him no. He also asked for a picture with just the women at the table. Really uncomfortable experience for my girlfriend. The rooms were good (we had a private room), bathroom in our room was cleaner than most. However, the homeowner really made it an unpleasant experience for my girlfriend. We would have changed to a different homestay after the first night but it was booked through our Ha Giang...
Read moreDefinitely not their best moment. Originally cancelled my booking, then they magically found a room. When I arrived they were preparing for a party and the place had been reserved by a group and had one room left that I could have. I asked in advance if it was a quiet room where I could sleep after a long day on the road, preparing for another long day motorbiking, they said yes quiet room. It was right next to the kitchen/event space. They said a friend had a place for me, better then this place. The pics are where they put me for the night. Wasn’t clean, and in the back of a hot pot restaurant. The town was over sold due to a holiday and I had nowhere else to go. At...
