Minh Ngoc Homestay Dien Bien Phu — Hotel in Điện Biên Phủ

Really excellent hospitality - we were treated like members of the family. It's located right next to the bus station, so easy to get to on arrival and easy to get away for your onward journey. The mealtimes are an absolute treat - you'll eat with other guests and the whole family, and it will be a delicious spread of beautifully cooked food - we stayed for two nights and were treated to a whole variety of freshly cooked deliciousness. There are six members of the family - Grandma and Grandad, Mum and Dad, plus two kids (young adults really). The room was basic but spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated - there were two double beds in there. The mattresses are a it hard, but that's no problem for me.

It's my first stop in Vietnam, and this lovely family have set the bar for Vietnamese hospitality extremely high. 10/10, definitely recommend staying here for your stop in DBP!

Amazing homestay with a very welcoming family!

We didn't have a reservation and showed up after dark, but they still welcomed us and then invited us to join them for dinner!

The host was so nice and talked with us about her family and what they are doing. It really felt like we'd been friends already!

The place is located about a 10 minute walk from the bus station, easy and well lit.

And to top it all off, when we left for Sa Pa, I forgot my Kindle at the house (if you're a traveler you know how important it is!). I texted her, she found it quickly, and was able to organize for it to be shipped on the next bus to Sa Pa, where we...

What a great visit at the Homestay! I stayed upstairs in the traditional wood house. Very cool space.

The best part was sit down family dinner each night. The made sure there was plenty to eat and made vegetarian for me and other guests. We all sat around sharing stories and laughing. Felt very comfortable and enjoyed every moment.

It's a little outside of town, but very close to the bus station if you're transferring busses. To town by bicycle, or scooter is easy and it's pretty country side.
