Nhà Nghỉ Sơn Lâm Homestay — Hotel in Bắc Kạn Province

If you are going to Lake Ba Be, you must stay here. The hosts are so accommodating and friendly. We had the whole top floor to ourselves with a beautiful balcony overlooking the lake. There is a family run restaurant about 5 doors down serving proper Vietnamese food and at a great price. Breakfast was without any doubt the best omelette I have ever had and then we were invited to go on a boat ride. We were treated to a beautiful temple and a secret lake. I can not recommend this place enough. We stayed for 1 night and we will be friends forever....

We first had a look at Mr. Lin's place as some people have recommended this place to us. Once we arrived there, we were a bit disappointed by the view as well of the rooms for the price they asked. We went back to the village and found this gem. A very friendly family welcomed us. The room was nice and clean but the best was the balcony with a superb view on the lake. Really nice rooms. Great view from the deck. The host is very friendly. She helped us whenever we needed anything. She even brought us to a mechanic to help with our bike. It’s pretty hard to get food around here, but she would cook us lunch and dinner. The food was good and prices are reasonable.
