Homestay Bảo Bình — Hotel in Bến Tre City

I decided to visit Ben Tre at the last minute, and most of the affordable places in the central areas were already booked. I was looking for somewhere close to the bus station but not too far from the city center, and Bao Binh Homestay turned out to be the perfect choice. I didn’t make a reservation online and just walked in directly, but the owners were incredibly welcoming and honored the price listed on Agoda.

The homestay has a peaceful, charming yard, and the rooms are beautifully lit, with large floor-to-ceiling windows that let in natural light. I loved sitting by the window, simply relaxing and letting my thoughts wander.

Since I couldn't ride a scooter, I asked the owners if I could borrow a bike. Though they didn’t have one readily available, they found an old bike in their garage and spent about 30 minutes repairing it to make sure it was safe for me to use. I ended up riding it every day during my stay.

After my bike rides, the owners would always treat me to snacks and fresh fruit. One time, they even climbed a ladder to pick a Star Apple from the tree in their yard. It was the first one they had harvested, and it felt so special to be a part of that moment.

On my last night, they kindly did my laundry and even offered to drive me to the bus station early the next morning. At the bus station, the grandpa made sure I found the right bus and reminded me to be safe on the way. After I left, they went out of their way to help me contact bus companies to check availability. They treated me like family, and I’ll forever be grateful for their kindness.

In fact, my time with them remains my most cherished and heartwarming memory of Ben Tre. If you have the chance to stay at Bao Binh Homestay, don’t hesitate. It truly feels like a home away from home, and I miss the warm-hearted...

Mình đặt phòng đơn loại sang trên app A giá 388k nhưng lúc đến thì chị chủ nói hết phòng (với lý do khách ở trước muốn gia hạn thêm). Chị định cho mình ở hạng phòng thấp hơn nhưng sau đó cho mình ở phòng của chủ home (có két sắt nên mình cũng ngại ở và mình chọn check out đi ks khác).

Tuy nhiên, nếu sự việc chỉ có vậy thì mình sẽ không viết đánh giá. Lúc check out mình gặp phải đoàn khách Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ đang gặp tình trạng tương tự mình (home hết phòng nhưng vẫn nhận khách). Họ đến và phàn nàn với chú (chắc là bố chị chủ home). Chú có tuổi nên gặp phải rào cản ngôn ngữ rất nhiều. Chú xởi lởi mình rất thương chú luôn. Nhưng thấy chú bị khách complain như vậy mình cũng chịu, khách còn tưởng mình nhân sự home nên còn complain mình nghe.

Mong rằng chị chủ home thấy và cải thiện về việc này để không xảy ra thêm. Thứ nhất, mình là chủ home, chắc chắn loại phòng gì mình đều nắm, không thể trả lời mình không biết ("mình chỉ thấy phòng đơn chứ không thấy sang hay không sang"...). Thứ hai, nếu hết phòng, mình nên up hạng phòng cho khách hoặc down hạng phòng nhưng trừ tiền hoặc xử lý thỏa đáng. Thứ ba, nên kiểm tra kỹ lượng về số lượng phòng hoặc khóa đặt phòng nếu quá tải, đừng nhận khách rồi tới nơi báo không có phòng (đối tượng sử dụng app A, B... thường là người đi có kế hoạch mới đặt trước). Thứ tư, nên nâng cấp csvc phòng, với giá 388k gần 400k/đêm mà phòng không có TV, minibar thì vẫn chưa hợp lý lắm (nhà nghỉ hạng thấp hơn hiện nay cũng đã có TV rồi).

This is the best homestay I have ever been in vietnam. Also best experience with the host. They treated us like friends. I didn’t expect much for a homestay in mekong delta but Bao Binh really impressed me with clean room, clean and new toilet, nice & comfy bed. I decided to order the host to prepare meals for us since we stayed in a quiet area. And look how amazing the meals and Vietnamese coffee were everyday. Definitely will come back for a...
