First time to Vietname. Came to Bac Giang area for business and stayed for a week. It's about an hour away from Hanoi City. ||||Most of people here don't speak very good English, but you can tell they tried their best to help everything from the bottom of their heart. People here are super friendly. I particularly like the big smile of the reception lady. ||||Room wasn't luxury nor with modern design but clean and tidy enough to make me sleep well. Interior is somehow like a 4 star local China hotel but this is even cleaner and tidier. ||||Food in the restaurant on ground floor was pretty decent. The banana flower salad, spring rolls, and Vietnamese coffee are all my favorite. ||||In my last day of staying I requested late check-out at 1:30 pm (so I don't have to go to airport super early and wait). Again the reception lady, who always wear a big smile on her face, helped me to re-new the room entry card without any hesitation. Even after I checked out waiting our pick-up car with my colleague at lobby they served us a free hot tea. ||||It's very unlike big brand hotels eg Hilton. People here aren't trained to follow SOPs or told by the company what/how to serve customers. They serve everyone with heart. ||||I normally don't write a lot reviews but I do think people here deserve compliment. And I'll stay in the same hotel for sure if...
Read moreI loved everything about this hotel. It's located centrally in Bac Giang providing easy access to all areas of the city. It provides a high level of security with a security outpost at the entrance and further security to the rear. There is ample secure parking for all types of vehicles bikes, motorcycles and cars alike . The entrance lobby is very grandiose and spacious, decorated with wonderful chandeliers, a spiral staircase, the Van Ha Bar , a centrally located 24 hour reception where your every need will be cared for.My room was clean and spacious and was cleaned exquisitely on each day of my stay. The view from my window was onto the grand square and was fantastic I was provided with a greeting gift on my arrival. The bathroom was superb. The wifi was excellent. The restaurant is fantastic and so spacious with huge windows providing a view onto the square where the cities people go exercising in the early morning and at sunset. The choice of food for breakfast was many , varied with all fresh and perfectly prepared and wonderfully presented. The staff at this hotel were the kindest, most attentive and helpful as I've ever met. I hope I'll get the opportunity to stay at this hotel...
Read moreFor Western travelers, Bac Giang is about 1hr outside Hanoi and not many travelers save Chinese and Taiwanese business men come out this far. There are zero western restaurants outside of the hotel in the city and not really any upper class Chinese or Vietnamese hotels either. ||For the hotel, it is a very good deal for the price. I’d recommend upgrading to the executive suite if possible as their regular rooms are small. This is very much a hotel that caters to Vietnamese and Chinese businessmen so if you’ve stayed in a 4-star China local hotel you’ll know what I mean. ||The rooms were clean enough. The showers had low pressure and would randomly turn ice cold for a few seconds - something I verified with the several other travelers I was with. ||One thing that this hotel shines at is service. Although their English is not as good as 5-star hotels in China, they always did everything they could to help us. And always with a smile and a bow. Superb service. ||My 4-star review reflects...
