Moreover, we are not professional “Hoteliers”, and the review is resulted from the actual experience. We will review the hotel in three areas: Facility/Room/Breakfast, Location and Service FACILTIY/ROOM Phu Cuong Hotel - Ca Mau is part of a Vietnam emerging high end hotels group that serves mostly the domestic tourism. You will find this brand of the hotel the West-Southern (Miền Tây Nam Bộ). The 4 stars hotel is fairly new. We are guessing that it is less than 3 years old. The room is clean. The bed is below average for its class. The design of the room interior is on par with 3 stars hotels back in the United States. Breakfast is mostly Asians and very limited. LOCATION The hotel is strategically located downtown of the city of Ca Mau. Coffee shops, street food stalls are within the walking distance. You still need a motor bike to have a decent exploration of the southernmost city of Vietnam. SERVICE The receptionist speaks good English. The majority of the employees are well trained, doing their jobs and keep to themselves. As said, this chain of hotel mainly served the domestic tourism; hence, English speaking may not a requirement for the staffs. Overall, we would give Phu Cuong Hotel - Ca Mau 4.0 out of 5.0 rating for its value and price of 2 nights experience of stay on 5/4/2023...
Read moreIts an awesome place for this cheap. Its at good location, right in the center of Ca Mau City. The room and toilets where clean, modern, and really nice. Toilets where equipped with a working hair dryer, toiletries, the TV had a lot of channels with Youtube and surprisingly with Apple TV as well. Breakfast buffet in the morning was alright with a mix of foreign and local foods. The gym and pool was pretty good as well. Staff was extremely welcoming and nice, even late at night when I arrive at the front desk there still is employees greeting and helping me.
However, while living here shows the quality issues with construction. Its not very “polished”, i.e the wall panels are not fully flat, the bathroom glass door doesnt shut all the way. As well as the choice of not choosing fully noise-insulating windows since at night there are lots of noise in the street, and not choosing double-pane windows which prevents fogging.
But these are very minor details which doesn’t affect you at all given the very good price here, and these are the only negative things about the place. In short its an excellent place and I will most...
Read moreI've stayed at Phu Cuong hotel for 3 nights in November 2019 on their grand opening week. A tad disappointed as both their gym and swimming pool are closed and no breakfast buffet on offer either. The cafe area out side the hotel was not up to 4 star standard. I've asked a fresh squeeze orange juice, and i've got an ice sugary drink instead. Floor staff were friendly and tentative to requests. I have a small child and the king bed was spacious enough for our family. The room was tastefully decorated, daily cleaning and replacement of towers. Everything was spotless. I was on level 7 and not much street noise which is a plus. However, i find the shower and toilet area being quite small. The room size and decor is as spacious as advertised. The internet connection often dropped out during the evening which is annoying if you are watching a movie, i have reported this problem to reception...
